Haven't heard that one. Have heard the only way to make a profit and save dollars is to lay off a whole shift and then work the remaining shifts twelve hour days.

That would work. See a lot of sick time being used. Working at G.E. they think you don't have a personal life anyways....

I keep hearing rumors that Ravenna Lamp is going to call back 10 laid off employees. Any truth to it, guys?
Talk last week was ONE would be called back, P.L. But since they found a way to eliminate a SERO to appeaze the screamers, I doubt that will even happen now. Sorry! Some people need to think before they squack.

There is no longer any SERO's. The only way anyone can retire is if your job is eliminated.

GE Bucyrus lead wires have been eliminated from what they tell us. no one is loosing jobs...but no one is also being hired....that's still a job loss. In my opinion management failed. Sad to see this happen the third shift crew did a great job. From how GE handled this it seems the only reason BLP got lead-wire machines was for the tax break and the cut on COL increases for current employees.

So how many people did it take to run the lead wire production there? Are these machines going to another GE plant? Is this production going to be out-sourced? Lots of questions but just wondering what is going on in the Lighting business. Thanks.

So what is the plans for supplying lead wires to Circleville?

Maybe our mount man who has been yelling for Hungarian wires for months was finally heard. Or maybe we .......

you are right....management failed....no one is losing their job as a result of this? thats because bucyrus hires ppl for the govt money and then fires you right before your 6 months probation is up and brings in the next victim.. seriously has anyone looked at the number of turnovers there? ps they never knew what to do with the lead wires anyhow
wondering
