News Flash: GE isn't in Pittsfield anymore. They don't warrant headlines.
There are still a lot of former GE employees here who own stock in GE and it's good to have expanded coverage of a company in which you have an interest. |

Who,s GE ? Oh yeah -hill 78 . Keep digging Pittsfield the PCB,s are everywhere.Better hope Silver lake stays as is (polluted) cause all your work downstream will have been for NOTHING!!!!!Talk about closing the gate after the horse got loose.

Sucks to be them. GE went from 60 under Jack Welch to 6 under Immelt and has come all the way back to 16. Break out the champagne! |

Its an $8 dollar stock.

You may be right, but until they unwind all their bad loans, nobody really knows. |

Its an 38 stock I stand by that :>)! |

8 dollar stock.

You may be right too, but my hunch is that's a tad optimistic. Personally, I've never owned it. There was a time when it would have been a conflict of interest, but no more. Now, I really don't know what they do. If I buy Boeing, I know what it is. If I buy Exxon, I know what it is. Ditto Ford and American Express. But GE is such a jumble I simply don't know what to make of it, so I stay away. Plus, Jeff Immelt is an acquanitance, not a friend, but somebody I became familiar with while he was in Pittsfield. Wasn't impressed then, less so now. |

I agree with that more than 38, but I honestly can't get a handle on it. |
I meant 8 dollar, Mr. Smith, and stand by it. |

Jeffrey Immelt is a notorious liberal bonehead. He has staked GE's future on fellow lunitic Al Gore's phony enterprises.

Not arguing with you. Are you backing up your stance by shorting it? |

Judged:
1 The board should fire this train wreck of a leader and then he could legitimately pander to the Obama administration without dragging GE down with him. |
Most certainly! |

Why do GE earnings always merit headlines here? The company ruined Pittsfield and is no longer in the area. If any company should be shown, it's GD as they actually employ in the area currently.
The reason why GE earnings merit headlines is because many former employees and retirees who still own a lot of GE Stock live in the Berkshires. It is interesting to me that many people in Pittsfield like yourself do not want to take responsiblity for the problems that exist in Pittsfield. Pretty dysfunctional if you ask me.
