Ebay wants to charge a percentage on shipping fees. Is this legal? Both ebay sellers and buyers are up in arms over this, claiming that the "tax" will hurt sellers, and cause an increase in shipping charges.

Did you notice they will now charge 9% on SHIPPING charges now?
($5000 per month for us of EXACT SHIPPING COST that we charge equals an ADDITIONAL $450 per month in fees)
And any discounts they give TOP SELLERS are no going away?
The only discount is for the highest level of sellers and that only applies to the ITEM SALES not shipping.
This is an INCREASE.

So far, under Ebay CEO John Donahoe, Ebay's number of patrons has been REDUCED by over HALF, from 220 Million in 2008 to 100 million today.
He won't stop until Ebay Market Place has evaporated.
