So, let me get this straight, if you're in a high enough position and you and your top co-conspirators cook the books to the tune of billions and billions of dollars, defrauding thousands of investors, awarding yourself tens of millions in the process, your only punishment is a nothing more than a slap on the wrist? If you pay a large enough fine to the government then, magically, you receive a get out of jail free card?

Any normal person does that and it's a life sentence because they could not pay the "fine". Brilliant! And we wonder why so many people abroad have such ill feelings about Americans. We LET this go on.

There's no doubt that we're going to reap what we've sewn. It looks as if that moment is now upon us. Do you think the Wall Street brass, Bernankes and Paulsons of the world really care about that? They have more money (your money) than they could ever spend. Yours is falling through your fingers like sand.
