Deal Would Provide Dialysis to Illegal Immigrants in Atlanta

and a space for a legal American is taken by someone who should be receiving care in their home country...put them on plane/boat/train/bus to a hospital south of the border...it'll be far cheaper on the public at large!!

Send the bills for their treatment to their HOME countries.

My 90 yr old Mother is dying of advanced Alzheimer's disease and is not eligible for any benefits other than the Medicare which runs out next week. She has out lived her money other than a small social security check, and medicaid still denied her!!!

I tore the roof off the place. I loudly told the clerk if her name was Lopez and she was an illegal alien she would get all benefits no questions answered so in my Mom's last days I am trying to have her citizenship revoked so they will pay her huge medical bills!!!

Our government at work!!! Time to fire them all.

I am so sorry for your family.I agree with you completley.Our elderly should be treated better.It is a SHAME. I cared for my geandmother, who lived to be 94.On 2 different times I took her to the hospital for test.We were on time,then a pregnant teenager came in with her mom.She was giggling and so happy she was pregnant.They put her ahead of my grandmother.We were there about 3 hours waiting.I responded like you.I finally took her paper work up to the desk,and threw it at them.I learned then to SPEAK up and not let it happen again.

I want to know exacly where in the Constitution it says Americans must pay for medical care for Illegal aliens......

My mother in law was recently diganosed with Alzheimer's though we suspected it for years and finally got my father in law to talk to the doctor about what we were seeing. She is now under decent care (she is in MA and the health care there is pretty socialized) but she is still very cognizant of things and not that advanced yet. However, she did have to get into what I think is almost an experimental treatment study too. It sucks! She has worked most of her adult life and retired not long ago (within the past couple years) and is in her 70's. Yet illegals get handed care left and right while those here legally cannot get the same treatment.

It sucks royally.:( I feel for those who need help, I really do. But at some point we have to put our citizens first! Try getting care in other countries even if there legally say on vacation. I had a former boss who had to spend a month in Cairo for work. He got very sick and his boss there took him to a back alley guy they knew who would give better care than the local hospital (when it came to foreigners). The guy was a Dr - just not working at the hospital.

The absolute truth in every one of these posts should be enough to piss off every single American citizen! The politicians aren't listening to us, people. Time to figure out something else!

In June, the Voice wrote about Julia Amparo-Alvarado, a 42-year-old illegal immigrant from Guatemala who faced death without a heart transplant. The mother of two was navigating a complex path of gaining insurance coverage despite her immigration status.

Three weeks ago, Julia managed to get fully covered through Medicaid for a heart transplant. Her insurance will cover the surgery, physical therapy, and even the cost of child care while she is recovering.

But it won't pay her rent. Julia tells the Voice that she's five months behind on her monthly payments for her tiny Greenpoint apartment -- she owes $5,120 on her $1,024-a-month rooms.

That has serious consequences for her health, it turns out. Stable housing is a requirement for a transplant. If she doesn't catch up on rent and finds herself evicted, her surgery could be cancelled.

To help with the housing problem, Nora Castro in the Social Services department at Bellevue says Julia has been directed to an HRA-backed program called Family Eviction Prevention Support Program or F.E.P.S. It runs out of the Bayridge Brooklyn Center and helps low-income families with housing payments. But first, Julia will have to complete the application with a lawyer. Castro says the department has contacted Bellevue's Legal Health department to see if they can help her with representation.

This is giving aid and comfort to the Illegal alien invaders aka enemy combatants and IS TREASON by the politicians!

EXCUSE ME??! AMERICANS on transplant waiting lists die daily,and the taxpayers are saddled with the medical costs of an ILLEGAL??? And we also get the tab for rearing her KID?? Has this country gone insane?

All of my deductibles just doubled and my insurance increased over $200.00 a month. In addition my out of pocket for a stay in the hospital went from $100.00 per person to $500.00 per person. I guess this is the redistribution of wealth. Take from the middle class and give it to the rich and poor.
Treat them once and then deport them. That is the fair and humane thing to do.

I understand the need for people to be treated with mercy, but when illegals get more/better treatment than citizens, that's the end of the rope. Take care of our own first and *if* there's something left over, give to others.
