Wow-I am completely appalled! The hate some of you are throwing out there is insane! This is like mob mentality, and I can't believe that WTHI allows it to go on. This is the kind of thing that causes serious damage. I thought I would find information about the status of our local Ford stores and instead I find this?!?

Oh, and by the way some of you could really use a lesson in the English language! It's almost as painful to look at the grammar here as it is to read the hateful rhetoric.

Yup, I heard Greencastle is a "slime sucking scum free zone" and they don't allow meth heads inside the city limits either!

Okay. Here's your news regarding your local Ford dealer--they're going out of business because they don't know how to run a business. You could also say that it has to do with the economy too, but either way they're going away. Happy?

Bob Bowen Ford needs an overhaul. They are "Blue Oval" certified and all the blue Oval certified employees are now gone. They moved on. I bought one new truck from them and I will never buy there again. I also purchased a new car at Clinton Ford around the same time - great experience and they value the customer. Clinton Ford staff actually return calls when you call them - good luck getting a Bowen employee to do it.

And my experience was exactly the opposite. Clinton Ford was less than helpful, while Bowen went out of their way to take care of me.

I guess it just depends...

Its like the old saying "you can't please everyone" and its very true. Most business people look at it as a bell curve. If how you're conducting business satisfies 80% of your customers leaving the bottom and top 10% respectively unhappy, does it mean you're doing a bad job? It doesn't mean you stop trying to improve to satisfy more of your customers but it does tell you what you're doing is working with the majority of your customers. So why cater to the fringe 20% and change good policies and procedures that obviously work for the 80% of your customers whom you are satisfying? regardless of what you do some people are just going to hate you.Your waiting area wasn't nice enough, you don't have the right stations on your waiting room TV, the coffee was too hot, yada yada yada some folks you just can't kiss their asses hard enough!

if you think peers will taunt the children, shouldn't the parents thought of that before they let it get this far..........blame is on the parents, children only know what they are taught.

Yes, I do feel sorrow for the Savoree children. After all, you can't pick your parents. But I also feel sorry the the single mother with three kids who lost her job last week. And I feel sorry for the children of the other employees who had to go home and give their families the bad news. Jobs are getting harder to come by in the current economy and there will be plenty of suffering to go around. Most people who have made remarks in this forum just want to see that mr. savoree does his fair share of the suffering!

anyone that sticks their head in the sand about child molestation, then has obviously never had it happen to their children.
everyone deserves the right to be safe in their own person. what worse way could another person violate a child?
if you know any of the persons who have been affected by mr. savoree personally, then you can understand what kind of baggage the people affected are left to carry. they didn't ask for it, they didn't want it. it was a choice exersized freely by mr. savoree.
his buddies that defend him here, are evidently not any of his victims, and or related to any of his victims.
there is a big difference in how one side has formed their oponion, and how the other side has formed theirs.
i don't think he is sorry for what he has done, and i don't think he has a conscience about what he has done.
he surely believes all of the guilt and shame is to be carried by his victims.
if he wants to avoid the sex registery so as not to be seen as a sex offender, or be embarrased about it, then there was a perfectly good way to prevent it. do not engage in such a behavior, and there won't be anything to worry about.

Wow! I guess I am old news here because this is the first time I have read any of this blog. I had no idea the volume of slanderous material being posted concerning my past co-workers and friends.

I worked a short time for Savoree Automotive Group, and in this time was made to feel not only a part of the business, but a part of the family. I am sure you all will find something bad to say about this post because that is what happens, but I wish to voice my opinion anyway.

Mark Savoree is a business man, and a very good one I might add. He may not make the decisions that everyone wants to see or hear, but in the end he makes wise decisions.

Brian Murphy is one of the most caring, concerned males I have ever met. He not only cared for his own family, but those he worked with too!

Rick Weber, although I did not get to know him that well, did an excellent job as a Sales Manager. His job was not to cut the best deal in the world, but to make $money$. The people who post such crazy things about the deals he cut or did not cut have, I am sure, never worked in sales or on commissions. The point when you work in sales is to make a larger profit margin to then increase the thickness of your wallet. Everyone wants a good deal, and that is why you do your own research and negotiate. Take responsibility for yourself, your money, and your purchases.

Oh well... my .25 worth of opinion. I am ready to get beat up now!

try the records for July 1985 in Princeton, IL., when they were picking the jury for the trial, then see for yourself! Deny, Deny, Deny, it doesn't change the facts!

The reason you can't find it is because it happend in Peoria, IL. He molested young boys and was convicted. He was convicted 6 months before the law was passed where they are posted on-line. He enjoys telling people to look on-line because he knows his picture will not be there. If I can find the article from the Peoria paper that followed his case I will be sure to post it for all to read.

I attended a little school call St. Louis in Princeton, IL. Our principal, a man named Mark Savoree, was caught molesting boys in that school. Is this the same Mark Savoree? You wouldn't find the Mark Savoree I'm talking about on a registered sex offender list because back then convicted offenders' lists did not exist.

Yep... ask Savoree why he isn't able to go to any of his kid's school functions. That is because Illinois does not allow convicted sex offenders to go to school properties. Although he is not on the on-line databases because he was convicted before the law had passed, he still can't go on school grounds. He tried to hide behind the name "john doe" and sue district 95 in paris but the Judge said he could not sue without saying who he was... so the case was dropped. What a dope. My prayers is with his victims... yep thats right.. victims.
