Could Terre Haute Ford Close?

I had heard that Mark Savoree sold this place to the new owners who took out a loan from the bank, not telling the bank that they were not actually approved by Ford. I guess Ford has some Net Worth requirements before they allow anyone to have a Dealership. Now Ford is not wanting to approve the new owners, who have already spent the money from the bank to pay Savory.

It is amazing the blame is on individuals. The auto business has not been 'good' for several years. Ford is just the first one we have seen locally that has consolidated, although a little dramatically. Before the end of 2009 there will only be one Chrysler dealership in town as well. The big three are buying out dealerships and consolidating them per areas of per capita. No one made any fuss when Burger Chrysler lost the truck line and give it up to Vigo Dodge? One or the other will go under the gun soon. The Chevrolet dealerships are very close behind..

With the automotive market the way it is now I would not be one bit surprised if the closest dealerships we end up with will be Indy or Bloomington!!!

While it is no secret that Ford Motor Company is in the process of reducing its dealer body, it is however nieve to think they would prefer to close the area's largest dealer and leave all the local one horse dealers untouched. Wouldn't Ford prefer to close Paris,Sullivan,Clinton,Brazil and Clay City Ford stores and make Terre Haute the central provider for the area? Then why is it going in the opposite direction? Because this is about individuals. And a certain individuals greed and deceit. Ah Yes!

He sold all three stores over a year ago to Kevin and Marj Beyer on March 1st.He worked hard to build up the business and be loyal to customers.Kevin worked for Mark before he sold the dealerships.Mark thought Kevin was ready and Kevin wanted to buy them. Obviously he FAILED!Mark only owns the property.He leases them to Kevin.Kevin lost his butt, and hasn't paid any of his bills! He is the one who messed up. Just like you apply for a job, Kevin also had to reply to Ford to become a dealder. He lied on his application and Ford would not accept him.This stopped him from a lot and Ford minimized what he could do.Kevin didn't pay the rent for the property and was told to please be out by a certain amount of time.He then ended up closing Paris and Sullivan. this has nothing to do with Mark! He is very disappointed to see the stores close, and is willing to do anything to help concerned customers. Some people just like to stir up the town of paris and start rumors. What else is new! You people need to know the truth.

This has nothing to do with Mark and his past, it has to do with the current owner and the mistakes he made.

I work in the Service Department at Terre Haute Ford and I want to pass along some interesting information about the "big story" news 10 seems to be all over. News 10 had a vehicle that they had not maintained properly and had developed an engine rattle. They brought it to Terre Haute Ford and sought after warranty help from our Service Manager who complied and attempted to repair their vehicle. Some complications with the repair occured and news 10 became angry at the delay in making repairs and elected to remove the vehicle from Terre Haute Ford and take it to Bob Bowen Ford where it is at this time. Strangely enough, even though the Sullivan lot had sat empty for the previous 30 days it suddenly became news on Tuesday, March 25, just four days after news 10's vehicle was taken from Terre Haute Ford.
Coincidence? I don't think so. I think someone over at news 10 is being vindictive and saw the opportunity to make it look like news. Ask your self, when Pfizer layed off 600 people did they get coverage like this? NO! If things are already tough at the Ford store then what is this kind of "reporting" going to do to help? Its not. All its going to do is make matters worse for those who are trying to make a business successful during times already tough enough. Shame on you news 10!!!

Oh yes lets just forget marks past. He'd love it if everyone would do that. Such a sweet idea. He's such a great guy and I'm sure he is quite innocent in this matter and very sorry for the misunderstanding. I think we should guit making all criminals register so they can put the past behind them and people will treat them as if their problems never happened. And anyway, who would know? Right! Once they've paid their debt to society let just wash away all the quilt and let bygone be bygones. Amen!
