Ford is actually recalling their junk again. They were just letting the junk fail and having their customers foot the bill for repairs for a while.
I do like their new slogan "Powered by you" they are finally admittingtheir engines are crap and you usually have to push your Ford yourself.(The heated bumper option is necessary in the winter)

It is sad that Ford is being forced to scale down quality to compete with the crap that comes from asia.

A Parable for Today

A Japanese company ( Toyota ) and an American company (Ford) decided to have a canoe race on the Missouri River . Both teams practiced long and hard to reach their peak performance before the race.

On the big day, the Japanese won by a mile.

The Americans, very discouraged and depressed, decided to
investigate the reason for the crushing defeat. A management team
made up of senior management was formed to investigate and recommend appropriate action.

Their conclusion was the Japanese had 8 people rowing and 1 person
steering, while the American team had 8 people steering and 1 person
rowing.

Feeling a deeper study was in order, American management hired a
consulting company and paid them a large amount of money for a second opinion.

They advised, of course, that too many people were steering the
boat, while not enough people were rowing.

Not sure of how to utilize that information, but wanting to prevent
another loss to the Japanese, the rowing team's management structure was totally reorganized to 4 steering supervisors, 3 area steering superintendents, and 1 assistant superintendent steering manager.

They also implemented a new performance system that would give the one person rowing the boat greater incentive to work harder. It was called the 'Rowing Team Quality First Program,' with meetings,
dinners, and free pens for the rower. There was discussion of
getting new paddles, canoes, and other equipment, extra vacation days for practices and bonuses.

The next year the Japanese won by two miles.

Humiliated, the American management laid off the rower for poor
performance, halted development of a new canoe, sold the paddles, and canceled all capital investments for new equipment.

The money saved was distributed to the Senior Executives as bonuses and the next year's racing team was out-sourced to India .
Sadly, The End.

Here's something else to think about:
Ford has spent the last thirty years moving all its factories out of
the US, claiming they can't make money paying American wages.

TOYOTA has spent the last thirty years building more than a dozen
plants inside the US . The last quarter's results:

TOYOTA makes 4 billion in profits while Ford racked up 9 billion in
losses.

Ford folks are still scratching their heads.

I am not a ford fan, expect for their performance cars such as the Mustang and GT super car, but 100,000 units of just F-series trucks is nothing compared to the problems Toyota and Honda are having. I am not saying American cars are better; I am just making the case that American cars are just as good. For all you import fans I ask you to look up the articles on USA today about Toyota’s list of recalls, and you will see that they have almost recalled more cars then they sold in 2006. Toyota’s Camry and Tundra truck have both had engine failures due to sludge or faulty cam shafts. Also Honda has a long list of recalls totaling 600,000 recalls. Judging buy these facts that you will undoubtedly find, if you are a logical person, you can under stand that foreign cars clearly are not superior. If you think that Ford, Chevy, and Dodge can learn some thing form Toyota, you are wrong. It is Toyota that is learning from American cars makers particularly Chevy. The motors Toyota uses in it NASCAR and NHRA cars are all Chevy. You need to learn the facts before you bash American cars, which it is sad that you consider most of you are most likely Americans. I know Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and a range of Europeans companies produce cars in the USA, but they all these foreign companies combined only make up 11% of auto production most of their cars sold here are still imported. Ford, GM, and Chrysler make up 89% of auto production and employee a lot more Americans. Those whom employee the most Americans have a bigger impact on our economy, and benefit a lot of Americans, so why would you guys want to hate on American cars?

GM, Ford, and Chrysler are in financial trouble, because they have to pay for benefits of retired employees. If fact most of these companies have more people retired that are still on the pay roll than they currently employee today. After WW2 the American Auto industry boomed, and pulled our economy out of ruin, much of the first world life style Americans enjoy to day is a result of companies like GM, Ford, and Chrysler. GM alone has about 480,000 people that it still pays retirement to, if you do the research you will find that Ford, and Chrysler also bare a huge finical Burdon. In Japan and Europe most countries have universal health care, and take care of the expenses of retired citizens, and this allows Japanese and European auto companies to make higher profits. In Japan the work ethic board lines on slavery, and companies often don’t provide things like toilet paper, break time, or Lunch time employees are expected to furnish it themselves. In the United States American companies are union, and treat their employees every well. Toyota and Honda do have plants here, but they make up an insignificant amount of American auto jobs. Really they are very small in comparison to American auto companies. Toyota and Honda are not American, and their profits go back to Japan, they are not looking out for the best interest of America, they are out for Japan. So you sit back and think “I will not buy an American car, they lose money on a car, why would I want to reward them with my business?” well that lost money has gone to feed the family of a blue collar worker some ware here in America.

Ford,Chevy, Dodge--they all need to go to toyota school and re-learn how to build dependable vehicles.
If The American 3 built trucks like Toyota's Tundra they would be out of business. Tundras have the worst reliability of any full size trucks. Research it yourself! LS

Well, I guess you haven't even tried to drive a ford. I AM A FORD OWNER AND SO IS MY FAMILY! Ford has the best quality of new and used trucks that are still out there on the road. Every where I look, I see a different truck on the side of the road. Hardly any Ford trucks.

Here is something for you to think about sucker. Toyota imports more than they sell here. All hybrids are made in Japan only. Toyota hires more temps than full time. When it gets slow they just fire temps. Toyota lies, they build more cars in Japan and then import them here and say they were built here. Toyota led the recall list in 07. Ford has built cars in the US for a hundred years, but you forget this. Ford GM and Chrysler are union, Toyota is not. Toyota has the full advantage. When Toyota is unionized they will be gone back to Japan and Mexico. Ford, GM and Chrysler build more cars in the US than all the Jap cars combined. Ford just gained a 100million dollar profit due to the turnaround. Toyota sucks so does japan and you suck A$$..You are a loser and so is your whole family.
