Ford cuts N. American production, cuts profit goal

Did they say they were cutting back on American Or was it Mexicans Jobs in Mexico. They were probably confused when they said that they "realigning",I think it meant that they were going to fire workers.

"return to profitability"? This is a company that routinely measures its quarterly losses in the hundreds of millions of dollars, and has been known to lose BILLIONS of dollars in a single quarter. I sure hope Mulally's the answer, but I have doubts.

As usual, Ford is a Johnnie-come-lately manufacturer. They know that China will be exporting their Chery cars that get almost twice the miles of any domestic car. That's right, the Chinese are coming and they will crush American car makers who just don't get it. Sad, but true. Watch the amount of Chinese scooters and motorcycles that will be bought due to their high quality and smart pricing. Sign of the times and it shows what the greedy unions have done to this country. It shows what greed, union, corporate and stock market has done to this country. It show that the company was not smart enough to see the fuel and economic crisis coming and not reacting fast enough when it did. It shows refusal of the Ameicab people to accpet that we need to fudementally change our culture to lower the demand for oil woth big cars, big houses and wallets. Now that wallets are thinner but the cars and the houses are still hungry.

Don't have to beat Ford over the head too many times for them to realize no one is buying their huge, gas guzzling pickups and SUV's. If they just fire all the illegal immigrants that work for them, American workers should be fine!!!!!
