Thank you former President Bush for leaving this country in such wonderful condition. It should be a breeze for President Obama to carry on. It will actually take many presidents before this horrible mess ever gets straightened out, if ever.

Pres. Bush and Dick Chaney should not be allowed to receive a pension. They should turn that money over to the Treasury Dept. after all, they didn't earn one cent of it.

Obama is a thrill a minute. He has been in office for a few weeks and has already made **** of the working class.
Just today he also had his Assistant Sec of Defense approved. Tell me again about Obama and his "I won't hire lobbyists" pledge. He's already put a handful in the White House, with more in the wings.
People wake up. When the statements don't match the actions you've got to stand up. Washington lives in a bubble world. On the bail out smoke screen, our representatives in Congress were swamped with negative phone calls, letters, and their offices were packed with people who wanted to express their opinions. They refused to listen and went on their merry way.
The comedians had it right, they don't care as they don't pay taxes.
Gee, what ever happen to Obama's illegal immigrant aunt. She was deported, but stayed in Boston and is living in public housing. Wonder what her status is now?
When it comes to politicians they can tell you anything, but judge their actions, for that is their true course.
Tens of thousands of people are losing their jobs, with more likely to come, and all you can do is rail on against someone who has been in office less than a month. The credit markets here and abroad are near collapse, the world as we know it may change forever and all you can offer is to drool on about one man. Educate yourself about how deep, disconcerting and economically deadly his recession may truly be. We've never seen anything like it. So, wipe your chin and think about what's at stake here; set aside your political agenda and hope this administration is successful. To hope otherwise is truly insane. We may be at the precipice, so all you self-flagellating "Limbaugists" should shelve the rhetoric until summer. By then we'll know where we stand; for better or worse!

My heart goes out to those who have lost their jobs. I think there is a lot to be said for the company's that are laying people off to first go out to all the employees, asking if they would be willing to take a cut in pay, to save a colleagues job. I believe more individuals would say yes than say no. I am not implying that all jobs could be saved this way, but at this stage.....every job counts....

Let's see, call the phone company, call a credit card company or a payroll department, and who knows what else, and where do you call? INDIA one wonders what's wrong with Americas economy!!!!! Why can't we keep our jobs in AMERICA, no, some big wigs in these companies think outsourcing is the answer when in actuality all it does is hurt us American taxpaying citizens who have been here for how long? Wake up AMERICA, where is our future headed?

Well then maybe Obama should start penalizing those companies that outsource our jobs to India so when I spend thousands of dollars on college tuition for my kids, they don't end up flipping burgers or working at Walmart. Not that there is anything wrong with those jobs...

Farooq's biggest concern on 9/11 was that he had to ride in a limo back from the midwest, instead of flying on a private jet, and he didn't have a pillow.

As I said before; then you are insane. You've been so blinded by partisan ideology that you actually hope for our President's failure and with it, our country's. In your delusional, paranoid mind you do not understand that in these dire economic times, the two are tied together. Quite sad really!

I was laid from EA 6/08..we refer to that as Black Wednesday. Many people who were not laid off that day said we were probably not doing our jobs...well guys how does it feel? At least apparently you got to take a cardboard box.many of us were shoved out (escorted) the door and not allowed to retrieve our personal items. Many people are still missing personal items.

Ethan Allen is one of the worst run companies I have come across. It is a surprise it has lasted this long. They should think about closing both the hotel and the furniture stores. This is only the beginning.
