so the sen. wants to help those who are losing there job @ EA. What about all the other ppl in the area who have already lost or are about to lose there job?
& this coming from the man who has 2 jobs - paiud by the city of Danbury & the State of CT. Nice

what about the people laid off from their jobs who didn't get a severance package. almost every one who works in construction don't get severance, they are just told "don't come in tomorrow" a lot of these guys/ladies make better money than ethan allen employees do. what about the trailer truck drivers and most of all owners who have to pay for their rigs. you know it's nice to want to help people in these times but don't single out a few who work for ethan allen

FIRST OFF I want to get something straight before people start "bashing". I feel bad for these people and ALL people that have lost their job recently including myself.

So, with that said, this is a hard time to be loosing you're job. I'm just so sick of seeing articles on the NT site & CNN about "people that are getting help" or "how is this person going to survive from making 80K to nothing"

What about us regular folks, how about a average Joe that has been surviving (more like struggling) on 30K or even less!! Why are we not seeing stories about those people, or seeing stories about helping those people. The are the one's that make up the majority of unemployed right now.

I'm sorry if some of these people have to give up their summer homes or live like the rest of us (struggling), but the reality is that, most of us have to live like that.

This is where his conflict of interest does a disservice to the other Towns in his district!!!
He should be advocating for all of the unemployed in Ct and his 24th district!!!

What about all the people let go from GE, Boehringer, Honeywell, etc. Why is Ethan Allen so special that the DOL needs to swope in and lend a hand? Everyone who is losing their jobs right now needs help, not just a select few.

My kid is out of a job. He's married, pays his bills and has been applying and interviewing as quickly as he can..No politician is helping him out, nor did he get a severance package. What makes Ethan Allen think they're above everyone else? Did the managers get big bonuses this past year?( and by the way,they sell furniture no blue collar guy can afford.)

Maybe McLachlan got a house full of funiture for his efforts.

i worked at Ethan Allen Hotel for a week. What a bunch of cry babies over there.
