If they run Caremark, like they've been running their acquired Savon/Osco stores, I see major trouble for the company and their shareholders. Their computer systems need MAJOR updating, they have pharmacists with NO marketing experience as their District Managers, and attempting to get answers at their corporate office is like having a tooth extracted without anesthesia! NO market research was done for our area, so we've lost most of our regular customers. All our truly talented people have been ignored and have left, receiving better offers from the competition(and MANY are about to leave). Tom Ryan and Company need to put the money they're offering Caremark back into their stores! WAKE UP, TOM!!!!

Heck sounds like they would be good for each other. The people at caremark have no idea what they are doing. It just so happens that I have insurance with two different companines and they can not get it together on coridination of benefits. Caremark is a joke their people have no training on how to handle one person with benefits from two sepereate compaines. My HR and the other companies HR are having headaches tryin to get them to work on this. Looks like cvs is just buying themselves more trouble. Oh check out this link from the government case against them http://www.usdoj.gov/opa/pr/Pre_96/June95/342...

Thanks for the link Bigjoe! I've heard quite a few nightmare stories from people who have had to deal with Caremark. CVS and Caremark might be good for each other, but not for their employees or shareholders. CVS has just completed round 1 of layoffs. I expect round 2 to begin at anytime.(Of course they'll hit Caremark employees first.) We've had our computer systems breakdown, and today the lights went out for about ten minutes. With 26 billion dollars spent on Caremark (not to mention what they paid for the solo Savon/Oscos & MinuteClinics,[talk about debt!]); I expect massive layoffs, rolling blackouts every hour, more store closings, and more major computer snafus. I wouldn't TOUCH their ESPP, or their 401K...(insider trading and backdating on top of everything else).

As a former Intern with CVS, I must say they have a horrid system for pharmacies as well as horrid policies.

Two of their major executives in the company were also just indicted for fraud among other things.
