UNI-SOLAR officials apparently aren't listening to the politicians and the media. Don't they know that "green jobs" are going to rescue our economy?

So much for Michigan leading in Green Technology! We'll said "Where is Granholm"; I agree with JPZ too, still waiting to be "Blown Away"!

trust me im just as concerned as the next person especially since my family is supported by uni-solar! my point was that if they are going to make it news at least give ALL the information not part of it!

Too many eggs in one basket. This solar thing will turn out like they said about CORN to replace gasoline. We invested too much with the big 3, look what happens when they don't sell cars/trucks. This green renewable what ever is a left-wing idea. We now have clean coal and we have plenty of it, this would create thousands of jobs.

Nobody has any money, nobody's gonna invest in technology.

Ford is asking the government to jack up prices on gasoline so that they can sell the tons and tons of hybrid vehicles they have sitting on their lots. Cars that the government paid them to research & build but now the average American family isn't buying. So what do they do? Ask the gov't to tax the heck out of gas so that we will buy them.

Who's really in control here??? Are we a government of the people by the people for the people or not?

Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the end. In this poor excuse for a state anything is possible.

is United Solar shutting down for two weeks or are they shutting down one week per month until further notice? maybe they are playing games so unemployment won't be available.

If you are laid off for a week you get unemployment. The company is just trying to stay viable. Give them a break.

Well this scares me too, but we have to keep are head up high and have a more positive attitude.The negitivity is not what we need.To much negitive will drive us crazy.The problem here is the banks dont want to lend money,why we dont know,all we can do is keep a positive attitude and pray.

Pam is the only one making sense here.

Head up high=good. Head in the sand=bad. I'm a preacher of positive attitude but having a positive attitude that weeds won't grow in your garden means you'll have a garden FULL of weeds! This economy is tanking. Businesses hands are TIED because they can't borrow $. Banks are freaked out. Credit card interest rates have jumped through the roof on people with great credit. This isn't 'negativity'- this is called REALITY. This company is smart enough to KNOW this and that's why they aren't moving ahead. You can throw stimulous $ at a company like this but if NOBODY can afford to buy from them then you've wasted your 'stimulous money' which is EXACTLY what Republicans were trying to tell the Democrats when they revolted against the stimulous as it was written. But Democrats would rather cry "Republicans won't play with us" than listen. Meanwhile, the sucking drain sound continues and people need to hang on to their shirts! This "Change" outta be an interesting wakeup call.
