Full story: TwinCities.com

The way Joe Soucheray disparages downtown construction in "Here comes the train - and there goes the skyway" , you would think that St.

Kristi Papenfuss...you are making a movement out of a momentum shift. The sprawl has not stopped. It, along with other parts of our economy, have taken a break and will resume when the outlook is good.

Now is the time to plan properly for that growth and build the infrastructure (including the ability to carry mass transit) to support it.

Why does the manager of transportation for the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce live in Minneapolis? Huh, Zach, why is that. Obviously, you don't have to contend with the mess.

Kristi, that bridge would have cost half that much if it had been built 20 years ago like it should have been.

Is K.J. Behm, Falcon Heights, trying to suggest that this is a description of the typical classroom across the state? Why does everything have to be painted with such a broad brush? Why can't we have standards for normal or typical situations, recognize where abnormal or atypical situations exist and deal with them separately?

"Urban Sprawl" is not coming to a screeching halt! But if that was the case then there would also not be a need for more light rail would there? Regarding the Stillwater bridge, we all know it's in need of replacement, do we want to wait another 15 years so it will then cost over a Billion?

Because that's not the governments One Size Fits All approach.

Kristi Papenfuss, I live in downtown Stillwater. Every morning the traffic lines up way back into Wisconsin due to either the lift bridge, or the traffic lights in Stillwater. A bridge just south to extend 36 into Wisconsin makes a lot of sense.

How much cheaper would be if they hadn't had to specifically design it to meet some left-wing ideal of aesthetics?

I was expecting good signs for St Paul to be a sign as you are leaving the city "You are now leaving St Paul".

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
