This is baloney. Ebay is the only deal game in town, so quit trying to bash them just so you can make money shorting their stock.

If you are a seller and refuse to patch up a transaction issue gone bad, then you are the blame. Make your customers happy, no matter what when you are trying to sell on ebay. Describe your goods honestly and there will be no problem. If shipper screws it up, work to fix it with them. The ownus is on seller to make it a good satisfiying happy transaction. Too many shady sellers out there pawning off junk or damaged goods as excellent or new. Ebay's cracking down to make sure it is a good place to buy good items.

Hey Bill -- You truly have no idea how horrendously eBay now treats its sellers. It is probably the most systematically atrocious treatment of its customers (sellers) that any business has ever seen.
I have been a seller since the late 1990s and have resolved EVERY customer complaint ever lodged against me satisfactorily. I was a top-rated seller, a power seller with excellent feedback and 5.0 and 4.9 DRS, about as good as you can get.
eBay suspended my account for ONE YEAR (might as well be forever, and probably is) for 3 or 4 small, negligible listing violations that no eBay buyer ever saw, out of the tens of thousands of items I have listed over the years with them. I have NO appeal and NO recourse. They absolutely refuse to hear my appeal and I have gone round and round with them trying desperately to save my financial life. My pleas have fallen on deaf ears.
I have been financially devastated by this. I was a big booster of eBay for years. I have worked extraordinarily hard making eBay look good for its buyers for many years. Many of them regarded me as their favorite eBay seller.
Believe me, if this kind of uncaring destruction of my livelihood can be delivered to a seller like me at the drop of a hat, it can happen to any of you who still have eBay seller accounts.
A year ago, Bill, I might have thought as you do, with an instant instinct to blame bad sellers. Now I know for a stone-cold fact that eBay doesn't care if you are a good or bad seller. They will ban you without a second thought, because they are so big, they don't have to care. Right now, I am desperately trying to move literally 50 tons of stuff, because my selling career is over. I feel like someone took my house away for the what amounts to the equivalent of dropping a dish in the kitchen.

Even when we try to make sellers happy it does not matter...I got kicked off over 2 bad feedbacks out of 200 and sold for years ...The last customer wanted $35 back from me over a coin...I offered to refund entire order upon receipt of item back..He opened a case...Ebay agreed with me then kicked me off anyway...They dont care ...I sell on other sites and have NEVER had a problem with those..Ebay is a $$ hungry company who does not care about the little guys..I hope they go down...Karma is a bitch!!

OMG I hate EBAY! I have been selling and buying since 1999 and I have had enough. They are so unfair that I can't believe that more people are not suing them. I had perfect 100% positive feedback and because I dared to post a non-payment dispute I received a negative. Then the second negative in the same day. That was due to the buyer losing an "item not as described" case. Next 2 negative feedbacks came from an international buyer who could not read English and blames me for the worldwide shipping time frame. Called Ebay and of course NOTHING was done. They really screwed us when they took away our ability to leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers. They list feedback as a way to build up reputations as buyers and sellers. How the hell can buyers have reputations if we can't say anything bad about them. The whole feedback system is bs. I think that if you file a non-payment dispute the buyer should not be able to leave any negative or neutral feedback. I think if you are involved in a dispute if the buyer loses they should not be allowed to leave any neutral or negative feedback. On top of all this losing my 100% perfect feedback I have been suspended for 3 day for having the nerve to mention that the buyer was upset because I filed a non-payment dispute. I hope Ebay gets so many lawsuits and spends so much money defending themselves that they go under. They do not care anything about the seller ...the person who butters their bread. I am looking for different outlets and have stopped buying anything to sell so I can get the hell off their site!!

Try selling to member KEN090909 100% pos feedback received. DO EXACTLY AS HE DEMANDS AFTER WINNING or get a neg and low DSR. Sell to him and lose your rating and discount all at once. Too bad we can't leave detailed BUYER ratings. Check out his feedback left for others. Ebay policy. The coustomer is ALWAYS RIGHT.

After 12 years of selling on ebay, I have initially disagreed with many new policies but have won every case filed against me ad as a seller. That totally amazes me after reading the scads of other sellers horror stories.

I do have a low policy compliance record because before listing my items I search them on ebay to better understand what I am offering. On 19 occasions my listings were removed due to violations that the items were not allowed to be sold in ebay. Keep in mind that there were hundreds of identical items listed AND completed.

My attorney is completely dissecting all ebay policy along with selling rules and regs and unfair profiling. I am certain things will change. He is very eager to make a name from the practice of these corporate pigs.

It isn't just sellers who get ripped off by Ebay.
The "buyers protection" scam should really be called "sellers protection" as far as this 11 year (former) member is concerned.
An item I recently purchased was not as described by seller, who offered no refund, so I decided to make a claim.
Part of Ebays policy in the "seller protection" program is that you have to send back the item to the seller, and then as it turns out, hope they will refund your money.
Well, they didn't, so not only did I lose the sale money, but no longer had the item to sell locally and partly cover my losses.
The end result is this crook gets my money, AND gets to resell the item to someone else and rip them off!
The possibility of this outcome was never mentioned by Ebay before I took these steps, and to my mind, it should have been one of the first things explained in this process.
Corporate America sucks!

I have been "restricted" from selling certain catagories on ebay. My mother just recently also rec.d notice that she has indefinately been restricted from selling certain items on ebay. I have been told that her account was restricted because the issues I had on my account. I have spoken to 5 supervisors today. I am "below standards" according to them. I have had feedback revisions submited by buyers but other then that I am just told that my performance is below standards. They will provide me no factual information as to why my account has been restricted. My mom has been selling on ebay as a means to support herself and now she is unable to because of an account that is not even in her name. The last "supervisor" I spoke to from ebay told me that "there was no other supervisor above her to talk to" she also refused to give me any information regarding her identity other then her name was "Maria" because " it is against the law for her to provide me with more information." Sign me up for an eBay class action suit. PLEASE... eBay has been extorting thousands of dollars from my business over the last year and a half with un reasonable DSR limits, cases open yada yada yada. With huge financial penalties. Certainly there must be an attorney who is putting togeather a class action suit. If so add me to the list of clients

eBay is holding my credit for 30 days before crediting it back to PayPal... and when I asked for it the 2nd time.. they said I can't sell anything for 30 days on eBay while the money is going through the 'system' to be refunded.

The problem is that their policy states that but they don't do it! I actually recieved a fake of something that I proof it was a fake as I had obtained the real deal personally and wanted to get a second one amd what I got was a fake. It was proven and undesirable and eBay did nothing to the seller. I wrote to the seller right away amd he pulled the listings imediately as Tje seller was caught red handed...but eBay did not suspend the sellers account.

They do not reimburse fees that should have been reimbursed. They have made mistakes and pulled listings they said were duplicates but made some mistakes and didn't take the violations away from my account for their errors as they said they were going to.

Please give me update all all policy violations your attorney comes up with, I have many issues with eBay, different from yours, but perhaps he comes up with a few unlawful activitys that suit my situation and a class action can be started
