Whoopee, another tax abatement in Plainfield and more jobs for our Tourist Freinds from South of the Border.
Oops, better be careful of what I say or Kent McPhail will have me run out of Town along with Ed Daum. No "Free Speech" allowed in Plainfield until it's approved by Brangard, McPhail & Kirchoff.

Now if only the town council and local politicians would start to increase the public safety sector out here...but I guess we need more trails to brag about.

Oh well, at least Marion County isn't going to get the tax money in a few years...if this place is still here then.

A big building, yes, but not a lot of jobs. Article states that 180 are coming away from Indy and another 48 will be created.

Ummmmmm... hey, Plainfield. How about you try filling up the old Galyan's HQ while you're at it instead of putting more gigantic concrete eyesores in my neighborhood and the semi traffic congestion that comes with it... progress, my eye...

People are all happy to go to WalMart and Lowe's to buy stuff, but they're against anything that has to do with that stuff getting there.

Wal-Mart nor Lowes have a distribution center in Plainfield. Either way, put the distribution centers out in a rural area away from residential traffic areas, something Plainfeild has not done.

With an unemplyment rate as low as Hendricks County is experiencing and the education levels of Hendricks County residents, it is stupid as he11 to be giving tax abatements to bring comapnies that employ low skilled workers.

I can assure you that quite a bit of the shipments that go into and out of the current three Prime locations is eventually consigned to WalMart, Lowe's and the other big box stores.

Most of their current workforce are good ol' American blue collar workers. They like baseball, apple pie, Fords and Chevrolets.

well if that's all there is we might as well secure the jobs for citizens of this state instead of somewhere else. Look manufacturing is dying in this country because it's cheaper elsewhere. cheap means more than quality. to the companies making product and looks like to the end user also. complain all you want but you need to look in the mirror and look at your votes. I'm pretty sure whoever you voted for supported NAFTA. so you have no one to blaim but yourself. want to make a change in this country, look up the stances of all theses career politicians on the issues and make voting decisions based on the facts. btw before you flame me for my voting record. I voted for perot(twice) against NAFTA and Nader who also disapproves of NAFTA. and will for Paul this time.

Old Boiler, you never have anything good to say about where you live. You ought to run for the town board. Or have you already and you got beat?
