These union tools should realize they are turning A LOT of people against them. We are all struggling... Disney has o make market based decisions in the interests of their share holders...

It's capitalism. Deal with it.

Unskilled positions are easily replaceable. Be thankful you have healthcare for such unskilled positions. When you have to get a degree, and continue post graduate education, and grade papers on personal time, and plan on personal time, be responcible for the lives of a group of people on a daily basis, then, and only then will I support a benefit such as free healthcare for somebody who works the service desk at a hotel.

I am one of those lucky enough to be saved from the layoffs last year. Maybe Disney should hold a job fair at the headquarters in Los Angeles so those having the hunger strike can see how many people are in line for their position. The Union won't care, they will collect their money from the person that will replace them. "Glendora Resident" I hope you take more care in grading homework then you do in your spelling in posts.

I agree with you on all accounts. There are people out there who would give anything to work for Disney AND accept payroll deductions for medical benefits.
I don't understand why a hunger strike would help them. My guess is that if you don't have insurance, a hunger strike is probably not the best choice.

I'm not a teacher, I just support the good ones and feel they are not appreciated or given the proper support from the parents. In many cases they are asked to work miracles with kids destined to be criminals. I was just making a comparison. Spelling on message boards isn't as important as getting the point accross. Otherwise I would spellcheck. I leave the message board spellchecking to petty people who usually make errors of their own. Kind of like your run-on sentences, fragmented sentances, and mis-use of quotation marks. But I understand your point and agree with you.

I'm going on hunger strike until everyone can spell and punctuate correctly.

It will be called "The Spelling and Punctuation Diet" and will catch on all over the world.

I will be rich beyond my wildest dreams.

.... Yeah, that's the ticket!

You know that, no matter how many of us grammar police are out there, we will always have to deal with the ones who went to In n Out during English class.

unite here is such a B.S. union! all they've done is unionize illegals who pushed out legitimate union workers in the hotel industry some 20 years ago. who ever said you're supposed to raise your kids, your grandkids while your kids are in jail, and your out of work boyfriend on a housekeeping salary!

i will make it a point to go to disneyland just to cross their dopey hunger-strike line. starve you ingrates...

This union is pushing it. Many companies take deductions out of there worker's checks to help pay for healthcare. These are rough times, and we all need to compromise. A job that doesn't require a degree and offers benefits? What are you complaining about?

When I hear any mention of the entertainment unions, I immediately turn unsympathetic. Anyone with any connection to the entertainment industry is painfully aware of systematic aggressive bad-attitude from the unions. Example: Once when a visitor innocently turned down the volume of a monitor that was blaring a squelch tone next to his head, the union guy screamed at this poor person and threatened to shut down the studio if anyone so much as touched the monitor again; then he turned the volume all the way up and stalked angrily out of the room. The union rules eliminate flexibility so as to pad the payrolls; hence they can't let anybody except the designated operator do anything at all.
