Sounds like you make have been one of thos that gave something up for the sake of others. In spite of your bitterness, thanks for your contribution. One the other hand, if you're simply the typically shortsighted "evil business" basher....(probably with evil business stocks in your retirement plan), you're likely suffering from rectal-cranium inversion.

I own equity in Walt Disney, and I can tell you that corporate governance is that, which makes the company, and many others like it, "evil." The executive officers and the boards of directors are incestuous, so there is no wonder that corruption is so rampant among publicly-traded corporations. Michael Eisner, himself, was the target of an unprecedented shareholder revolt in 2003, and he still kept his job because the boards can do whatever they like, despite the votes of the actual owners.

So, Michael Eisner, the king of slash-and-burn, the dybuck of the "take-no-prisoners" business philosophy, has now set his sights on the Tribune Company ? God help them.
Feel free to drop dead, Mr. Eisner. We'll all sleep a little better for it.
