Not only is it dying, in too many cases, its dead. And so is polite manners and friendly service. The employees look as if they are bothered by customers - CUSTOMERS are the business - no customers - no business. (Sorry I interrupted your snooze).

From the time I was old enough to get a job. I was told that customer service was how you made money in all industries. In the last 20 yrs that I have worked for other companies I taught service, attitude, attention, sim ple consense customer service technique. However since the times are changing, I have noticed that customers are not being given even the slightest service, and when it is requested it is responded to with ugliness, and even less service. It is very sad to hear customers say they would rather not complain about the service because they fear retrobution. Wow, asking for a tea refill could get me someones spit in my cup!

It is even worse when the lack of customer service or just plain courtesy is lacking at hospitals.
A lot of these angels of mercy are prima donnas.

Beaumont needs a major wake up call, perhaps the Commander of Beaumont needs to borrow a page from the Uncover Boss show, send in someone that they dont know. He shouldnt be surprised to discover that the staff reacts differently when he is not around.

Quite frankly, Beaumont staff, I am not impressed with your degree or job title, I am impressed only with ability to deliver excellent healthcare and courteous service in a timely manner. Some of you get it, correct your colleague! By failing to correct them, it only serves to bring down your reputation.
