Someone should tell captain bike path that Europeans approve the merger and that's litmus test for marxists in the democratic party. How can Oberstar oppose it now?

Quite frankley I could give a rip what the European Union thinks. They hate America unless our navy and army is comming to save them from a Tyrant.

you should care. with the open skies agreement, foreign carriers will be able to fly to destinations within the US, rather than to just international airports like LGA, JFK, LAX, etc. So how would you like to book a Lufthansa flight to go from Dallas to Vegas? Get used to that idea. BTW, all the legacy carriers already codeshare with Euro carriers, so you think you're booking a DAL flight and you end up on Lufthansa, KLM or AirFrance leaving JFK. Which isn't a bad thing, because service on AirFrance is miles ahead of what you get on American carriers.

This is good news! Now the customers can look forward to easier use of their frequent flyer miles and cheaper tickets. Less competition = lower prices.
