Delta CEO: "Clear violation" involved in wayward flight

How would the CEO describe landing on a taxiway? I suppose that would be a "clear violation of company rules" too.

Boy, I'm sure the Atlanta taxiway landing folks are happy their fellow co-workers took the heat (the media) off of them.

We have chosen to not fly on that Northwest Delta Scab infested mess ever again. Too many shady goings on there.

Norworse management was the worse that money could by.They were only happy when you were unhappy. Bunch of two bit bastids!

After NWA shed itself of the overpaid, underworked aircraft mechanics NW finally has got a good, reliable maintenence program. At least NW is no longer seeing cooked up delays by disgrultled union members.

Think about it. If the carrier deals with these pilots, that's as far as it goes. A little hand-slapping, some reflection and in a year or two these bozos are back in the air.

But if CNN and Fox and NBC et. al. get to mine this minor incident to sell ad space and some mindless congressman picks it up and has his PR people make him a White Horse to "save" passengers from "dangerous" air crews, air fares go up, FAA gets to ponder more worthless NPRMs and the most vocal of us crawl back into our little boxes to wait for the next opportunity to spring forth and bark loudly.

That is not a true statement. It is by far worse now and getting more worse all the time. What kool aid have you been drinking anyhow??

Yea I agree, the pencils they use to sign the paperwork now are very high quality. They are so good at the maintenance now they don't even have to leave the office to make the aircraft airworthy.
