The late NWA (and Skyteam member) after WWII was responsible for bringing JAL into existence by supplying an airplane (a Martin 202), pilots and an operations manager until into the 1950s. Whether that early helping hand can pay off now is a good question.

Maybe JAL would pick up the MSP-Tokyo route when DL/NW drops it.
