Ive had the extreme displeasure of being employed by covenant transport. In my personal experience This comapmy has a seriously broken system ranging from their policies/procedures to payroll to inapt dispatchers and a lack of communication between load planners-dispatchers that runs downhill to drivers that creates a level of stress on the drivers that creates an unsafe situatiion for everyone!! Drivers are nothing but a number with this company.. They claim they are a "faith based" company, but that "FAITH BASE" is dead outside Joey Hogans and David Parkers office!!!

I would discourage and deter anyone form applying and working for this company!! The drivers are what makes it possible for everyone to have a job and paychecks..but,yet its the drivers that get treated like crap and get no appreciation

Do not work for this company !!!! I have been here
13 years and gonna leave as soon as I find another
job. The treatment of the drivers has gotten worse
than ever. They have given everyone a paycut, they
have stop contributions to the drivers 401 K. They
no longer mail your payout sheet to your home so
you can check to see if your payroll is correct. You
can check it online but they don't have internet access but at a few terminals so you can get online! If you are a team and you Idle over 30% they will take money out of your check without telling you how much or how they calculated the
idle time ! Its very hard to get any sleep in a HOT truck and then drive 10 hours. They could have
bought Tri packs units for all the trucks and save the fuel that way but the Management at Covenant does not think Pro active they are only
re active. It is the Driver who bears the brunt of
bad Management decisions. Divers are sitting around in Hot trucks while Joey Hogan sits in his nice Air Condition office and counting his 275 grand....why should he care about the driver ? they keep hiring drivers to take the place of the ones who quit ! Only when word gets out about how
Horrible the managers are at Covenant and they have trouble hiring divers to drive the trucks will they become concerned ! I hope all driver quit this Company and let Joey Hogan and David Parker drive the truck !!!!!

I currently work for covenant and can tell you never have i seen a company that is so bad.i had my heater core go out on my truck had no defrost for 2 and a half weeks. Was threatened with a service failure because i finally had enough driving with no heat in the front cab of the truck and put it in the shop(after threatening break down that i was going to pull it into a scale and ask for an inspection).I will be leaving as well as soon as i can anything is better then Covenant transport.

as i have worked for cov 10 years it is no better than any other company or worse unless you work for a mom and pop outfit that treats you like family and pays you less.. it has in its stance declined as a faith based company since it has become a public company and is no longer run by the actual owners but by a board of directors i'm sure that the policy of having the office personal riding with a driver for a week so they know what its like is no longer in effect so maybe the relations between office and driver has declined and with the economy crunch like it is (and personally buying star when they did was a mistake financially but who knew everything was going to crash like it did) yes they did stop with the big bonus's and yes we took a pay cut but the pay is still fair and we are still working there are a lot of companys that are closing as far as fair treatment i think they are just as good as any other public company out there as far as repairs go i have not ever heard of them denying repairs unless the driver doesnt want to stop cause when your not moving your not making money so i question the comment about the defrost thing they would not give a service failure for del if your getting repairs as long as it is all documented in the q com i would recomend company as any other but i cant say there is anything better about it than any other these days

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Libra

Someone is convinced they're in the right under the Lunar Eclipse, and they don't care how they get their point across. If there's trouble in your neighborhood, get it sorted out by putting your thoughts down in a blog, or on paper. Don't let anyone, even siblings, treat you like this, even if you balk at standing your ground under this moody cloud. Travel plans may be upset, and spiritual pursuits, and dealings with foreigners or people of other cultures is subject to pressure too.
