Hmm . IT sounds like cablevision bought newsday for its assets not because it wants a newspaper. Is cablevisions headquaters actually owned by them? IF its not maybe they want newsdays headquaters.

The story reads, Newsday will be maintained 'AS IS" there will be no reduction in Work Force and the union Contract they hold will be honored.

The Dolans once again are bringing a stronger foundation to Long Island since Grumman desolved.

There are people that knock them, But they are Awesome to Work for.

I say close it down and "re-purpose" it (to use a business buzzword) as a pumpkin farm!

What the hell is wrong with the Dolans? They passed up a chance to invalidate the union conract? I for one never want to hear them cry poverty again! Business everywhere is slowing, ad revinues are down and they want to pay UNION EXTORTION? F'em

I can't belive Dolan didn't get the real estate! What a bad deal. So he pays way more than Murdoch would have - and he didn't even get the only think that is going to appreciate here. D'oh!!!!!

the days of Idiotday being linked to Topix so everyone can repeat what a crppy piece of sh1t newspaper it is are over.

BTW, i'm still getting free papers. I guess I have to contact the Justice dept.
