Graffiti is artwork no matter how you look at it... people dont understand the type of artwork that it is, but yet its known worldwide. How is it then that you can arrest someone for painting or "tagging" public property that is no longer in use - the whole thing is stupid and we need a different solution than arresting people. why not open up a business dedicated to graffiti art work to keep it contained, because in reality its never going to stop no matter how many arrests you make. Thats a fact... I can tell you right now that as soon as an artist gets out, they are gonna do it again, and again, and again. Why? Because its a way of life, not a hobby as many people claim it to be. The city needs a better solution. Period.

Bull! If these clowns tag again after their release and are caught their hand should be cut off.
You call it art. Again I say BS. What gives them the right to paint some one's property wiyhout permission? Do I have the right to punch you in the face and when you cry I take a phot of your red swollen face and then put it on a billboars and call it art. Dumb.

They "tag" my very PRIVATE very IN USE property, and I have to pay to clean it up. Let them buy their own house and go to town on it, but stay away from my building!

The police should be authorized to shoot to kill graffiti artists caught in the act.

That fancy painted wall by the railroad tracks did a lot of good directing these little mischievous darlings' excess energy in a more creative direction, huh ?

Art? Why paint "art" in dark, mostly unseen places? If this "art" is so great, the artists should be vying for space so that all can see their art abilities.

What a load of crap!

it may not be exactly legal but what these people do is to have a perpose to inspire the community. if you look at these random urban spots you might find some of the real beauty in this city.

It appears they have inspired the community...to angrily state that it ain't art....heck that one person above wants the cops to shoot them...seems inspired to me

When I lived in Los Angeles I know I enjoyed this "free art" on the side and front portions of my apartment building. I also enjoyed the crime that came with it.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Gemini

A little give and take goes a long way, so try to be flexible and malleable when dealing with others. It will also pay to ask people what they think rather than to make sweeping assumptions on their behalf, because you could be in for a surprise. A child may have some interesting information for you, or they could make a statement that really sets you thinking.
