A city outside California has for the first time been named the sootiest in the nation, one of the categories the American Lung Association uses to determine the most polluted cities in the country.

I love the government condemning these high population cities because of their weather. The DFW metroplex would never have a high polution level if we could keep the nasty high pressure weather systems from sitting on top of us during the summer. Once the government can control the weather, only then should they have the authority to threaten a states highway funds.

I grew up in DFW. There was no pollution in the 1960s.

Republic of Texas? I live in Texas in The United States of America. In the 1960s, there were a LOT fewer people and cars and no DFW airport. Try again.

I'm not trying to make anyone look bad. I just love where I live and really got into the history of it when my then 6 yr. old grandson was an extra in The Alamo... Geez..........
