What happened to the "vision" of the " green technology park" that local animal abuser McFadden proposed just 6 months ago?

Lets put it this way, I know Costco position. So take that how you want. The simple truth is the city has not left themselves in a very good bargaining position. They are at Costco mercy, and thats not a rumor.

And tell the people why this is so personal to you, does the name Sage ring a bell. Its amazing what I know.

Oh BS! The City and all those liberal no-growthers all cried that Costco would destroy downtown and all small businesses in the county. The Fort Bragg and Willits City Councils did too. Where are they now?! Hypocrites!!!

Costco has already said they will not pay for the off-ramp. There is only one left, City of Ukiah. And some of the quotes I've heard for a off-ramp is about 10 million.

Do you realize the city paid 5 million for the property and sold it for 2 million? They are already in the hole 3 million and now they took on a task of building a off ramp.
And you say they didn't throw money away, I'm sure glad you and the city don't manage my finances. It will take decades for them to recoup the money they will spend on this project, if they ever do.The city council has lied to you and spent money in a criminal way. I wish we had a Costco, but not at this price.
They are selling the land for the same price they paid for it. By law, they can not sell it for less than it is worth. What they can do is negotiate incentives like sewer hook-ups, etc. I have not heard anywhere that they are required to build an off ramp, although building one would be a good idea. By the way, what have you been smoking?

Sorry to the rest of the people on this blog for arguing with Bullet Head but I have to respond.

Bullet Head, I have not exposed anyone. The person I responded to is using her real name. My comments to her were that she was taking my words personally and its because she is related to Sage, who is in this article.

Now as for Not Quite, the article clearly states that a tentative deal for 15.33 acres at $3.70 per square ft. works out between 2-3 million dollars, I remind you that the city paid nearly 5 million.
As far as them recouping money on things like hook ups, etc. is not going to happen. Costco holds all the cards. The simple fact that the city needs Costco more than Costco needs the city.Costco will not go in unless an off-ramp is put in near the Red Tail Ale building near Norgard Ln. That has always been their position.

By the way, I don't smoke, never have, never will. And you better run down to the city and tell them about your law because Sage obviously doesn't know it, nor does the city council.

There is going to be an off ramp at that location sooner than later. It's only logical. A ramp wil go in one way or another. The single access currently available is stupidly inadequate. Traffic is already backed up onto the highway trying to manuver through that red light hell that some geniuses devised to totally screw things up throughout that area. A southern ramp is the only hope that area has regardless of a Costco or not. Libidiots are just using it as an excuse to further ruin life for everyone as they continue in their attempts to spread mediocrity.

I think the point is that for an off ramp to be built, someone has to pay for it and it's not going to be Costco - they have no reason for doing so. I'm sure they'd love to build in Ukiah/Menodocino County, but unless something appealing works for them, they won't.

And who would? The southern end of Airport Park is becoming miles away from any access. Not a good business location if the only way to your business is through a maze of traffic, traffic lights and dredlocked, able-bodied deadbeats on every corner and in every parking lot with fake pity signs that liberals fall for.
