Hey loser its been four years nothing has happened. You are the biggest loser ever. Costco's CEO Jim Sinegal will never have the company go under!

Yep, Sam's had to close some of it's warehouses and lay off employees. Costco has not had to do that plus they are still putting up new warehouses. I love this company!!!

To Costcoprisoncamp: Wow, obviously a disgruntled former employee with no personality who felt that the world is against him/her. Well truth be told, Costco looks for go-getters in the hiring process. They MUST have a personality and think for themselves. Costco does not want the type of employee that one would have to baby sit, unlike whom "Costcoprisoncamp" likely is. Costco has a student retention program, allowing people to get an educations with the hopes that you will continue to work at Costco in some capacity after graduating. Trust me on this, as a Costco Manager, I know. You are right about one thing though, if an employee finds a $100 on company property, we expect our employees to do the ETHICAL thing and turn this in as one of our Members may enquire if anyone has returned said $100 found around a certain area and at a certain time. This may be a lot of money to someone. If no one claims the funds within a set period of time as defined by the warehouse manager, it is returned to the employee who found it. Hmmm, you didn't get in trouble by finding something lost by one of our faithful members and decided to keep it for your greedy unethical self did you? As for cashierwhrhs321, I doubt it that things are as bad as you claim. Have you gone to your regional office to complain about scheduling not done on seniority? I only ask because it is company policy to schedule by seniority.

Around the next two to four years, Sam's Club will be quickly expanded and have more than 1,000 Sam's Club stores nationwide. These stores, formerly the locations of all 365 Costco stores nationwide, will have the following features: * A full-line "big-box grocery" department * A full-line "big-box merchandise" department * A pharmacy with a drive-thru lane * A snack bar * A tire and oil change shop * An optical center Around next year, Wal-Mart Stores will no longer build any 150,000 square-feet Costco stores, but will now only build 150,000 square-feet Sam's Clubs instead. Around the next four years, Costco will no longer be in operation. WinCo will take over Walmart, Costco and Sam's Club.

I could care less how (SC) they treat their managers, employees,..... I just want good product (and selection) at lowest price. I do not care about stupid benefits. If you want to vent about probs. w/ pay/ mgrs./ benefits, go ahead and post away. I want lowest prices (anywhere) on good products---not "the best" products.....good products at the absolute lowest price.....so what they get stuff from china.....lowest prices.....lowest prices ...lowest prices !!!!

You shouldn't have quit before finding another job!!no matter how hard things are. Granted Sam's is a HORRIBLE co to work for but needless to say in this economy it's better to tough it out and look for another job before quitting. Try getting into Costco. They will treat you right!!
