So these are the guys who design those GOOFY, IN_JOKEY, SELF-SATISFIED NAMES for overpriced processed organic food products that they SLURP UP on the Westside while believing that buying this stuff makes them HIP and RESPONSIBLE? If it's not clear -- never cared for that stuff. You want to save the planet, you can do more by cooking and eating your own beans and rice.

I think they might still be paying for overhead from all the fancy packaging that applies full color process that only delivers line art. Kind of ditsy I agree. We can suppose that buying into all that labeling supports someone's capacity to do labels.. and MAYBE that would be ok if the graphics were really happinin. But, too oftentimes, graphics aren't all that good and have to wonder what sort of person the company thinks I am that "buys into" bad or ugly art.

"... quartet of quirky, blue jean-clad artists and writers speaking with conviction about "values-based positioning" and companies that operate "from a place of passion and authenticity." Don't make me laugh! An advertising agency talking about "authenticity"? You can fool some of the people some of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. And yet advertising agencies make a business out of trying.

It's a huge industry that continues to grow and I am glad that Santa Cruz has it's share of it, creating jobs and industry specific to our region. No there is no Wrigley plant anymore or any other Coporate Brand here (they all went overseas years ago pal) but lets build something new and innovative.

So, where exactly is the "news" in this article? More likely an advertorial, don't you think? but hey, if you're giving it away... Sentinel, how can MY local business get a free advertisement like this?

Sentinel, how can MY local business get a free advertisement like this? One man's boosterism is another man's advertorial. It's a common practice for a local paper to feature local businesses.

I think it's great that Santa Cruz has some elder business people who've worked hard and still care.@Want some Bull: I don't see them as an ad agency, but a creative design company... not same thing.@ Hmmm the news is that Scruz has some local businesses to be proud of. What is the problem, people?
