Cumulus Bullies?

After managing radio stations KGVL/KIKT in Greenville, Texas for over 7 years Cumulus Media Partners had Frank Janda arrested and tossed in jail on charges of theft of $1500.00 -$20,000.00.
According to Janda, who's company Dynamic Broadcasting LLC operated the stations from 1999 till July of 2006 the charges are bogus and he can prove it. Janda says that according to the Time Brokerage Agreement that set the standards by which he operated the stations he was entitled to all revenues he received while operating the stations. Cumulus's case stems around a $2,400 check that was issued to Janda in Spetember of 2006 for advertising that was aired in May & June of 2006. According to Janda, a sworn affadavit from the car dealer backs up his case. If Janda can prove his innocence, Cumulus would be subject to penalties determined by a court of law for falsifying a police report and malicious prosecution which carry heavy judgemets for punitive and compensatory damages. Should be interesting. Continue to watch this blog for further developments |

Well, I guess that answers my question about the new station manager. I had heard some rumblings about him.
What a public relations nightmare for Cumulus! |

Yeah. If true, I am going to assume he swimdled the exact wrong person, at least in Greenville, anyway.

I wonder if Cumulus will file charges against Mr. Joslin for the United Way funds?

I read where the United Way had filed a complaint, but that Cumulus and the station had made good. Still, it bears watching. There are also rumors he pulled something similar in McKinney. Busy guy ...

1 McKinney? Wow, wonder if he worked his games in Snyder when he was there? Yes, I saw in the Greenville paper where Cumulus had paid the United Way. Good for them. I am glad to see they did that. |

Oh, and I forgot about Amarillo and Kansas ........ we should try to get some T.V. show to investigate this guy. The only problem is, his cons and escapades are so outlandish that noone would believe it!

Where is Mr. JOslin now? Is he still in Greenville?

|
I heard Mr. Joslin has left town. Moved on to play his next round of con games, no doubt. |
