Picketers push for return of fired radio DJ

Car horns were honking on U.S. 17 Bypass on Wednesday, as protesters held up signs asking drivers to show their support for a fired afternoon announcer from a local country music radio station.

I believe whoever made the decision to terminate Rick Roberts had personal issues with him that should have been separate from the professional side. It may be that whoever this person's supervisor is needs to determine if he/she should be in a position to make decisions if they cannot separate business from personal opinions. I believe Mr. Roberts should be rehired but if I were him I would not accept the offer.

I am still trying to figure out what they base the ratings on!! I sent messages to a ton of people Cumulus and radio ratings,(no reply so far). My dial has had 103.1 set for a few years now!
I really don't like the fact that the VP of Cumulus said there was no point in meeting with protesters, In other words they made up their mind and who cares if they lose listeners!
On a separate note Robin we appreciate what you are doing!
Today I would like to dedicate the song Stand by Rascal Flatts to Rick!

I have been listening to Rick Roberts for as long as he has been on the station. I remember many years ago when they did the same thing to Tab Allen who was a great person. He has yet to recover from the harm that was done to him. Rick went far beyound the Radio he was involved in so many worthy causes. Have any of the people at Cumulus bothered to think that your sponcers have a lot of respect for Rick as well as his FANS and they will leave with him, he was K-Country. Rich we are with you! Where you go we go!
