Excellent viewing - should be on all the networks so everyone has to see it. Maybe it would shame Congress into action or the American people into taking back their government.

oh, goodness...a technicality Obama forgot to mention when he said there would be no deficit spending in the 10 years for his healthcare plan

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php...

The president doesn't enough know what is and is not in the healthcare bill.

It doesn't matter to him...he isn't going to be covered by the nationalized healthcare, nor are any of the others who are "working" on it.

and the Mayo Clinic is NOT endorsing ObamaCare as the president said.

One could get really worked up and concerned about this if not for realizing that the problem is the same but the dollar amounts ten times greater in regard to Defence Department spending.

Democrats challenge Obama signing statement (same as Bush!)

Jul 21
By ANNE FLAHERTY

WASHINGTON (AP)- Congressional Democrats warned President Barack Obama on Tuesday that he sounded too much like George W. Bush when he declared this summer that the White House can ignore legislation he thinks oversteps the Constitution.

In a letter to the president, four senior House members said they were "surprised" and "chagrin ed" by Obama's statement in June accompanying a war spending bill that he would ignore restrictions placed on aid provided to the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

Obama said he wouldn't allow the provisions to interfere with his authority as president to conduct foreign policy and negotiate with other governments.

The rebuff was reminiscent of Bush, who issued a record number of "signing statements" while in office. The statements put Congress on notice that the administration didn't feel compelled to comply with provisions of legislation that it felt challenged the president's authority as commander in chief.

Democrats, including Obama, sharply criticized Bush for his reliance on the statements. Obama said he would use them sparingly and only if authorized by the attorney general.

The baby boomer generation is headed for a shock as it hits retirement: many of them will be long on life expectancy but short on savings. The two main strategies for funding retirement -- lifetime pensions and 401(k)-style savings plans -- are in serious trouble. In "Can You Afford to Retire?" FRONTLINE correspondent Hedrick Smith ("Is Wal-Mart Good for America?") investigates this looming financial crisis and the outlook for middle-class Americans.(more)»

Industry Cash Flowed To Drafters of Reform
Key Senator Baucus Is a Leading Recipient
July 21, 2009 / http://tinyurl.com/llpfsb
As liberal protesters marched outside, Sen. Max Baucus sat down inside a San Francisco mansion for a dinner of chicken cordon bleu and a discussion of landmark health-care legislation under consideration by his Senate Finance Committee.
At the table on May 26 were about 20 donors willing to fork over $10,000 or more to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, including executives of major insurance companies, hospitals and other health-care firms.
"Most people there had an agenda; they wanted the ear of a senator, and they got it," said Aaron Roland, a San Francisco health-care activist who paid half price to attend the gathering. "Money gets you in the door. The only thing the other side can do is march around and protest outside."

Isn't it odd that the same people who were fine with over a trillion dollar deficit to fund an unnecessary war are so upset about 1/3 that amount over 10 years for Americans' health care? Given the millions donated to both sides of the aisle by health insurance and pharmaceutical companies, do you ever wonder how much they pay to bloggers and forum posters to keep their spins going?

When are we going to return corporations to their rightful place as property rather than super citizens with the right to buy our politicians with tax deductible bribes, loot our treasury and national resources, kill our children with their wars for profit, pollute our air, water and soil with their poisons using the politicians that we elect, whose salaries we pay, who are supposed to be working for their constituents (not their owners) and what is best for the country. If we don't get some meaningful election funding reform passed soon, it isn't going to matter what label the politicians use. Is it even possible?

Wow, you libs are having a group obama-orgasm....did you hear about the senator that said healthcare could be obamas waterloo?

And Obama returned the fire thru gritted teeth, just like a teenage girl who had lost her boyfriend to a rival. He sure is touchy, and seems to fly hot at the slightest criticism.

You libs have elected a hot head, apparently.

Actually the quote from the Republican't Senator is:

If we're able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him."

The "Party of No" goes forward to the "Party of Stop and Destroy"

This will backfire on them just like the negative campaigning did. People are paying more attention now and they hear what the GOP is saying. They want it to crash and burn so they can regain power in 2010. The people who agree with them (a minority) want the same thing.

If you want a hot head, you should attend a packed town hall meeting with Ed Schultz. We will get it done. Trust me. Then you'll have to untwist your panties.
