Error in Judgement? Try considering Dodds whole career an error in judgement. This week, the WSJ, and Bloomberg, placed the blame for the countries courant financial crisis squarely on the shoulders of Dodd, Frank, Schumer. Pelosi, and Reid. Now they're trying to ramrod this whole so-called Stimulous Package down peoples throats despite overwhelming outrage because we all know, it is just a huge pork laden spending spree...Dodd, it's time to resign, retire, slip out the back, go to ireland and grow potatoes or something where you can no longer run this country into bankruptcy...

He'll get re-elected with the Union votes. He knows it. This is why he doesn't care what you think or I think.
He scammed the news media with the old slight-of-hand shuffle the papers trick so this tells me he now doesn't care about them or thinks that they're stupid like us. Either way the arrogance is telling.

someone had the idea for every driver to honk their horns when they drive by Doddles house in East Haddam...A honk supports the idea of this mug resigning.

Others are reporting that this story has legs because a Mr. Feinberg (sp??) is making these "outrageous" claims against our esteemed Senator.

I'm curious - if Dodd is so upset, as Banking Chair, couldn't he call Feinberg to testify under oath?

Also... please stop saying Dodd "released" the papers. Although I'm sure it's unintentional on your part, it's highly misleading. Say something like "held a press conference at which they proved the existence of documents related to the refinancing"

This paper seems bound and determined to spin 90% of the news surrounding Chris Dodd in a negative manner that has indicated to me for some time that there is strong bias. I wish that Senator Dodd had released the documents earlier, but it seems pretty clear that he did receive market rates for his loans. If Countrywide was trying to give him a special deal, they didn't do a very good job of it!

I thought this article had a favorable spin! He didn't RELEASE his documents,he just let the reporters see them. After seven monthes of stonewalling, the public deserved more.

Wrong the paper has an obligation to its readers to continue to probe this story until Dodd comes clean. I hope they don't stop until he does. I would also like to know why the U.S. Attorney is not looking into this matter concerning Dodd. Maybe criminal wrong doing by Dodd and the bank.

Hey it's being investigated by the Democratic ethics commission. We can be sure they will find him innocent of any wrong doing Both he and his wife knew what they were getting and it resulted in Countrywides records not being investigated. Dodd and his bunkie Frank should resign immediately. I hope the Courant keeps up their alhtough somewhat weak attacks at Dodd. This is the first positive step for the Courant in a long time.

If Dodd murdered somebody, hw would plead not guilty and explain it was not murder because his victim was going to die someday in the future anyway, death, after all is inevitable.

Give it up, dork. Your little conspiracy theory has no traction. You'd best turn your attention back to Area 51.

Countrywide Chris Dodd took a kickback. So did Hartford Mayor Eddie "I need some remodeling" Perez. Why are these people not either in jail or under serious investigation? How did Jodi Rell's ticketmate John Rowland only get a year in jail? How does a Judge get drunk and hit a State Trooper and keep her job? How does the DCF commissioner get drunk an hour after work get arrested for DUI and keep her job? HEY BLUMENTHAL STOP SUING CEREAL COMPANIES AND DO YOUR JOB>>
