Nice to see that the winners in all of this is ALWAYS big business. And, typically, the guys at the top...can anyone say ENRON?

And don't we all feel sorry for him such a low rate of turnover.I mean it's only cost him 3000+ jobs so far,but I'm sure the next few months will give him better numbers, and thats not even counting the number of family's he has destroyed through the loss of their home's

As much as I despise corrupt bureaucracy and support the free market system -- I also reject this abuse of the free market system by CEOs. These people do NOT provide that much value to a corporation that the system should allow them to rob shareholders and fellow employees this much from the corporation. These are NOT private investors who risk their money to create new businesses and the jobs that come with them. These are just hired guns/managers. This is obscene and legalized corporate piracy. Corporate law must be re-written to stop this practice in which CEOs are in bed with the corporate boards.

Since his company tanked by giving loans to people they shouldn't have, he should give it back.

wow. I work near countrywide and have no 0 years experience as a CEO. I could easily tank the company I work for and would gladly take millions in pay for doing so.

Well, anyone who's ever had the pleasure of knowing Angelo Mozilo knows he's about as genuine as a three dollar bill.

I work for Countrywide and it disturbs me that I have been rooting for Angelo just to find out he threw in the towel. I can not wait for Bank of America to take over but as we all know when a take over is complete there will more of us with out a job. But to the denfese of sub prime loans and other lenders please "READ YOUR LOAN DOCS." IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ASK SOMEONE TO ASSIST YOU A FRIEND OR ANOTHER A.E.
