CASE STATUS UPDATE: A settlement has been reached in an action against Countrywide for violations of applicable state common laws and consumer protection laws. On January 21, 2009, Finkelstein Thompson LLP filed a motion as putative co-lead counsel with the Court, along with additional plaintiffs' counsel, for Preliminary Approval of Class Action Settlement and Publishing of Notice, and Setting of a Final Fairness Hearing.
