GOP Could Get Dodd Mortgage Documents

Full story: Hartford Courant

Documents associated with U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd 's much discussed "VIP" loans with defunct mortgage giant Countrywide Financial could become generally available - if a ranking Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives has his way.

So while the GOP is doing the job the MSM used to do, by getting all of Dudd's mortgage documents, not just the few pages
Dudd allowed the press to inspect, but not copy, what has the Courant and Mahony been doing these past 4 months on this story? Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Go back to sleep Mahony, there's no story here, it's only Chris Corrupt Dudd (D) CT.

Strange, isn't it, that the Democrat chairman of the committee couldn't be bothered asking for these documents, which are central to the investigation. He claims he's focusing on the financial crisis and stimulus oversight. Yeah? How's that working out?

"I'll scratch your arse, Chris, and you can scratch mine someday."

If Bank of America releases these documents and they become public, that sound you hear will be Dodd soiling himself. No amount of feel-good ads with Barry O'Bama will help the good Senator then, not after he's been so busy helping himself for all these years.

If there is reason to suspect wrong doing, regardless of party affiliation, documents should be forthcoming. This guy (Dudd) stinks of corruption. Tax payers deserve (and should demand) senators and representatives that are looking out for the people of CT, not themselves. He is a crook and should be ousted by CT voters in the coming election.

Oh my god, give it a rest. It's not about Chris Dodd, it's about the Senate sit. Every Republican who made a mess of this country can not stop crying. Like the man said, lets see everyones transactions. There will be no one left.

i followed this story from beginning to end and according to the court documents he most certainly did release all relevant information about where he was born which is why ALL courts have thrown this case out.
In a country where the judicial system can indict a ham sandwich the case has been and forever will be closed.
On the other hand McCain was born OUTSIDE the US but who cares now he lost. But just because right wingers continue to bring it up does not make it true and if I were Obama I would do the same thing (ignore the lunatics)
The time wasted is BS.
How come you didn't waste this much time on Bushes national guard record??

I say bring it out and if the finding is nothing was done wrong illegal or improper the courant should trace all the bs back to the ip's and ask for a written apology and if there is any of the above he should quit.

Also Sam Calaguri should ask the state to release all of his records including the one where he slept with an ethics lawyer to try to save Rowland and himself from ethics charges. How do I know this?
I FOI'd the info 3 years ago and it is pretty sleazy to say the least.
So lets bring everything out and let the voters decide.

Oh right, I'm sure this person was saying the same exact thing when Dan Rather was reporting "stories" based on his iron-clad reporting skills. Take a look in the mirror, pal, before you call other people hypocrites.

Just hold on a moment, Chris is going to release the fullpackage any day now. NOT!!!! If this happens, we may see a few more folks than we thought we would see on this special program. Dodd's records need to be release as he was under investigation by the ethics committee, right??? Whomever else is a FOA or got VIP treatment should be ready to answer the call

Dodd has probably hidden the records in the same vault where Comrade Obama is keeping his "birth certificate". Once again, if there is no problem, why are they not showing them?

Here's Dodds "accomplishments" (and things that make you say "hmmm"):
- Wrote in a loophole that gave AIG execs exorbitant bonuses in excess of $165M. And guess what, Dodd has been a recipient of AIG exec's campaign contributions over the years -$223,000 to be exact - as reported by the Center for Responsible Politics. Any connection? BTW, Dodd was caught in a lie - no question - when he denied he wrote it and then later admitted it.
- While serving as US Senator for CT, moved to Iowa (huh!?!?) in preparation for his presidential campaign. To represent the people in CT, shouldn't he live in, I dont know, CT? And if he's a senator shouldnt he be focused on CT issues rather than running for Pres?
- Chairman of the senate banking committee during the financial collapse. He must have fell asleep at the wheel.
- Kissy face with ex-CEO of Countrywide, Mozilo and got special treatment on his two mansion mortgages. Dodd is under investigation from the Senate Ethics Panel b/c when Dodd "locks in" a rate - well, his friends in high places let that slide. Mozilo, btw, is walking away from Countrywide - central to the mortgage "house of cards" collapse - with at least $66 million. Times are tough (for everyone else). Meanwhile, Dodd did all he could to stall on disclosing the mortgage facts.
- Kissy face with Ed Downe Jr, a bigwig at Bears Stearns who was caught in an insider trading scam. Dodd pushed Clinton for a pardon for his Downe pal. You see Dodd and Downe go way back as - you guessed it, real-estate partners.(oh yeah, the pardon was granted...)
- Pulled strings to understate the value of his cottage in Ireland - basically dodging the full tax responsibility.
- Heading up the charge on nationalized health care while his wife is on the board of directors for 4 health care companies. Okay, theres a little conflict in interest. Sure, the democratic machine gave this to Dodd when Kennedy got sick, long after his wife's involvement in health care companies, but shouldn't he let someone else lead on health care socialization given the blatant conflict?

I'm sure there are more feathers in Dodd's cap, but according to him...these are just "old news, routine transactions".

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
