Why We Just Can't Trust Dodd

Full story: Hartford Courant

Sen. Christopher J. Dodd went one contrivance too far last week at his carefully choreographed press event to explain his mortgage deals with Countrywide Financial .

It's fairly obvious that on his two Countrywide mortgages Dodd listed both his DC townhouse, and his East Haddam home, as his primary residence.

I don't know the legality of this. Dodd clearly splits his time between here and CT. But is this something you and I would have been allowed,(in simultaneous re-financings?) How many primary residences can one have? Two? Three? Four? At what point is a home a second home?

Anyway, there must be a there, there. Otherwise why the delay, why the release that was not a release, and why the big legal bills?

is that Cts Republican reporters are every bit as slimy as Cts Republican Politicians and when a reporter with real expertise looks at this entire Countrywide/Dodd story his conclusion is that it's every bit as phoney as the Phoney Whitwater smear these same Republican Reporters did on the Clintons.

Kevin Rennie is a Morally Bankrupt Republican Reporter working for a Financially Bankrupt Republican Paper.
Thankfully, the people of this state have decided neither is worth purchasing and there time is almost up.

What are you upset about. Are you angry because Kevin Rennie told the truth about Dodd? Dodd knew what type of loan he was getting, and he tried to cover it up. People are not that gullible.

Dudd not only got sweet rates and a nod on other fees but Countrywide also
refinanced these original mortgages until $240,000 was 'lost' from their accountings. Dudd says he paid this amount in the refinancing. Where did he get these funds? Show us the money trail Dudd and stop backpeddling. You were caught with your hands in the till. Prison and seizure of your assets is what you deserve. sooner or later, the Feds are going to catch up with you.

to criticize Dodd for over his last 6 yrs but this Countrywide affair is a press created PHONEY STORY.Garbage like this is the very reason noone gets their news from print reporters anymore. They have proven themselves easily minipulated, lazy and packlike.

Please read the link to the Huffingtom Post story. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-fiderer/w...

Read the author of that articles Biographhy here
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-fiderer/#...

This author, unlike Rennie and the rest of the Pack of idiots who pawn themselves off as "journalists" in this state, actually has expertise in the subject and didn't begin his research with the idea that he could use this as a basis for his weekly collum for a year or two if he made Dodd look bad but instead let the FACTS dictate the story.

When the Hartford Courant disappears completely people will look back and see it wasn't because of the internet but because the product they produced was of such low quality and so predictable nobody bothered to read it anymore.

Uh -Huh, and the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and Business Investors Daily were all in on the "phony" story eh??? Your problem, is trusting the Huffington Post for unbiased reporting on anything. It tilts further to the left than a tilt a whirl at a small town carnival...Chris Dodd, is an unqulaified hack, who is largely responsible for this countryies econmic collapse...Trying to put lipstick on that pig by quoting the Huffinton Post isn't going to help you or Chris Dodd...

The point of this column ... that Dodd cannot be trusted ... is superfluous.
Nothing wrong with the column, but what it says is by now obvious to all.

Dodd staged the scene to persuade people that he had "released" the documents. Nothing of the sort. Hand-picked reporters were given the chance to leaf through them ... no copies were allowed ... and his promise of way back when to release the documents hasn't been complied with. Plain and simple.

As The Wall Street Journal asked in a recent editorial, "If he has nothing to hide, why is he still hiding it?"

If there is so much outrage over this, why hasn't an FOI lawsuit been filed, and Dodd been served with papers with a class action lawsuit from the taxpayers. He IS working for us, correct?

The senator's news conference was quite revealing. When asked why he accepted special treatment (V.I.P. and F.O.A.-friend of Angelo) he looked baffled. What a silly question. I am a senator and my daddy was a senator. Of course I get special treatment. Do you think I want to be like you shnooks and wait in line for anything? Just ask my pal, Tom Limosine Dashcle. When you have been a little prince for your entire life you expect special treatment.

People have been progammed to believe what a Senator says. When Bubba Clinton was brainwashed by Daddy Bush about the
"New World Order", he complied and
endorsed and promoted Nafta, the deal that sent our industrial base to China.{Bubba now making Millions}
Dodd has no qualifications to be a Senator any more than your local Selectman. Dedication to the Common Good of the country he does not have.
His 26 years in office is not a qualification, it promotes Royalty and
it's about time for the public to get a wake-up call. His effort to conceal the Mortgage Deal should be used
as a teaching document in grammar school to teach kids about our corrupt system, and why we are in a major depression that we will never get out of. Dodd's behaviour should be made into a teaching tool in colleges.

I hope for yoursake you are only joking otherwise you just let everyone know what town the biggest Jackass in the state lives in. I amonst many others would gladly pay $1,000 (or more)for the deal Dodd got. When your mommy increases your allowance enough for you to buy a house you will realize it has nothing to do with Republicans or Democrats. It has to do with right from wrong

Time for the Democratic Party to give Dodd the boot in 2010.

Blumenthal wants to run. Lets see the Primary Season be a large one. 2010 have a Primary for Governor, Secretary of The State, Attorney General and US Senate.

I hope if they can get Dodd to go away that they dont force that rich pablum puking d-bag from Greenwich down our throats he is nothing but a supporter of the nauseating blogs in our state that suck.

SHUT DOWN ALL LIBERAL BLOGS IN CT THEY BLOW!!!

Keep the comments comming kid(In all honestly I say your a very imature 24yr old)me and my battle worn corporate zombies are in histerics making assumptions of where, how and who you were raised by. Where could you have possible gotten all that anger from. We are pretty confident your father(a republican) left home when you were a kid(probably couldn't take all your whinning)and you were raised by lesbians

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Aries

Take care today Aries, because the emotional landscape in your neighborhood will be full of pitfalls during the coming fortnight, as it has been since the Solar Eclipse on May 20. The more convinced you are that you're right, the harder it will be to navigate your way around forthcoming events. If you feel resentful of someone, perhaps a neighbor or sibling, you need to get your feelings out in the open, rather than burying them deeper, where they'll fester and lead to more problems in the long run.
