What if? What if the when the mortgage papers were filed with Countrywide the Ireland cottage was listed as an asset. What if the value doesn't match the value listed on the Senate disclosures. How can you claim you didn't know its value when you used that value on the application. Is that the real reason why we can not see the mortgage papers?

Thank you for another excellent column.

Dodd's responses to these allegations and to the questions about his wife have been meaningless and unsatisactory.

When the stories about the Countrywide deal came out and Dodd kept putting off the release of his papers, I suspected that he was counting on the public.s short memory.

Rennie is doing a great job keeping the pressure on Dodd to account for multiple suspicious dealings.

Dodd is way to comortable with shady deals. He arrogantly assumes the voters will forget and he'll get a pass.

Vote Dodd out in 2010.

No wonder Dodd continues to look shell-shocked at every local appearance. He thought he'd pulled it off and no one would ever notice a years-old payoff in a little corner of Ireland. Now it's time for us to arrange for him to spend far more time there...in retirement.

When it comes to Chris Doddle, you have to remember that you can't put Lipstick on a pig...

Even the "new" appraisal is subject to scutiny...

How about Dodd putting his signature to Legislation to limit the Payday Loan Businesses level of interest to the consumer? How will they ever survive by "only" charging 36%? Petroleum Manufacturers get ripped for a mere profit of 8%, and Dodd lets these Pirates get away with 36%?

I'll betcha Dodd will get a huge Campaign Donation from Payday Lenders...Oh wait, he already did!

When you consider that people like Dodd, whose financial 'disclosures' seem to consist of "Now you see it, now you don't," are also taking increasing charge of the national economy, the future doesn't look so great.

Far be it from me, of course, to suggest that any politicians abuse the system for personal benefit.

To prove my point, I'm going to ask the current version of Countrywide for a loan on below-market terms.

And I'm going to ask a businessman to buy me a home (oops, sorry, it's only a 'cottage') abroad and sell it back to me at a pittance.

And I won't hold my breath until all this occurs ....

In exchange for a midnight pardon for a crook, Dodd got a sweetheart deal on a high end irish cottage. He then purposely avoided providing an accurate disclosure of the property's value, and waited to provide an accurate (we assume) appraisal until AFTER he was caught.

He is refusing to provide the countrywide loan docs because they include incriminating information about the irish cottage.

He championed removal of regulations on the security and banking industries in exchange for pocketing millions of dollars of graft.

His wife sits on the BoD's of healthcare firms, and he has been personally "annointed" by dem lib and drinking buddy teddy to head up the dem's federal takeover of the entire healthcare industry.

Many many many elected officials have been censured and worse for far far far less.

There is more than enough to send this man to prison.

Obama has gone way out of his way to show how much he supports Dudd.

We have to ask ourselves, why isn't the FBI investigating the Ireland cottage deal?

For the die hard dems out there, please show us that this means something and find another dem lib to run for this office. You can't support Dodd and continue to claim that you are the party of equity and social justice.

Remember Jessie Jackson of the Rainbow coalition? How he gamed the system to extort money from Corporations? Well
Jessie Senior has a son, Jessie Jackson Jr.
Jr is now a congressman from Illinois.
He to knows how to game the system.
Like Dodd's wife who is or was on the Import-Export Commission,Jessie Jr's wife is also on the Import-Export Commission.
Looks like Jackie Clegg Dodd and Mrs Jessie Jackson had the same qualification to get on that Commission. How many more Politicians wives are on this commission? Excatly what are the qualifications besides being connected politically?

So now Chris Dodd wants us to believe that his Irish Cottage went up in value by 200-300% in the last 1-2 years during the worst world wide recession since the Great Depression, to quote him.

How about using duck theory. It looks like a duck...he lied.

Face it, Dodd is a criminal, plain and simple. He sold out his Connecticut constituents and the taxpayers of the United State for favors, money, gifts, employement, nepotism.

If these are the things we know about, there are many more we will never know about.

Of course Mr. Dodd should be voted out. I don't care if it's a Dem or a Rep just get this guy out.

AND THEN PUT HIM IN JAIL!

Gail Collins of the New York Times tried to do a puff piece on Dood in yesterdays paper. Basically saying "He is the poorest guy in the Senate, so he is not in it for the money." The comment board was so negative about Dodd. Time for Dodd to walk away but he can't cause this is all he has. If Dodd loses, which he will, he will follow his Father to the tee: Senator, Crooked Drunken Senator, Leaves in disgrace, in the ground two years later.

I'm not sure how this advances the story other then to simply keep it alive. Conspiracy is a word that always come to mind when I think of politicians. There's never any threat of serious jail time so players like Dodd get exposed every once in awhile but the depth of corruption never really gets exposed. Obama's just as dirty as Dodd but Borack has the press in his pocket so he shines while Chrissy is fending off being tarred and feathered. Go figure.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Sagittarius

Relationships have been going through through testing times since the Solar Eclipse at last month's New Moon in Gemini on May 20. Events may force you to reevaluate the state of a partnership. You may even decide that you need to make some major adjustments if things are to carry on as you would like. During the coming fortnight leading up to the rare second New Moon in Gemini, this may feel like a crisis, but that doesn't mean you should abandon all hope or throw out the baby with the bathwater.
