So....rather than coming clean and divulging what he promised, he will now perform the 'cover-up' by re-financing and getting an even better rate than last time due to economic conditions that he helped to create! You can't make this stuff up!

As if a new mortgage makes the old one ok??? Does this mean he is admitting he shouldn't have had the Countrywide deal in the first place? Even if he never sought a special deal he KNEW he got one and should have declined due to a conflict of interest. That is where he screwed up. No integrity.

Does he have unpaid taxes too?

What a load of crap. He's a VIP, friend of Angelo's, and all the denials ring hollow.

Sure - now that rates are lower than dirt. Give up your loan records like you promised 6 months ago shiester. This corruption has to stop.

I hope everyone remembers this because this guy will have the audacity to run again for office because he thinks we will forgive and forget by then.

We WANT to see that CountryWide paperwork! Screw the Senate Ethics Committee (that's an oxymoron) let's see the paperwork! We know what it shows; you know what it shows; let's now show it to the Courant, the Union membership, the moonbat Dodd voters, the University numbskulls, the below average I.Q.ers and your relatives!

A clear case of Closing the door after the horse ran away..
He can still disclose and make public all the paper work from Countrywide.

He still must release those Countrywide documents so everyone can see how much of a financial break he received. A refinancing is no excuse not to release the documents.

Well guess the Courant will believe that they can out this story to bed. How frequently did the editors tell us about rowland's (another crook) hot tub? Daily? Even after he got out of prison? How can the editors claim they have no bias when there always seems to be two sets of standards? Oh, and is anyone calling for Dascle's head for under-reporting his income by $250,000?

And John Rowland will be returning the hot tub, and Eddie Perez will give back the kitchen, and Richard Nixon will return Daniel Ellsburg's medical records...

Probably not because Obama would have offered him a job.

Senator, good luck with your refinancing.
Do you need to wait till the ethics probe is complete before you refinance?
Is there any reason that refinancing means you won't release the documents related to your CountryWide loan?
Thank you.

As Sharpshooter noted the rates are very low now. Dodd will spin his refi as getting rid of the tainted loan, but the truth is he only doing it to save more money.
