Bud got fat and lazy. The new owners will squeeze out those excess costs. Something Bud would not do.

Out of all the businesses taken over by foreign investment this should be one of our least concerns. I wouldn't expect them to change much about Budweiser. They probably are not going to try to export it to Europe (they wouldn't drink it). They aren't going to ship the brewing to Europe (that would only increase costs),,, what do you think they will move it to China? What inBev gets is a profitable American company which they will leave alone, with a distribution system that they will leverage to better market some of their other brands.

Being an American brew was the ONLY thing Bud had going for it. You can drink my share, too.

Maybe China can purchase Harley Davidson and America can finally admit that it's notiong but a nation of toesuckers and fry cooks to the world.

Ah well, there's still Sam Adams.
Eff all you eurotrash monkeyhumers.

This acquisition is horrible. For Budweiser to be associated with Becks beer is a disservice..to Becks.

Good news for the hundreds, if not thousands, of very good, small craft brewers in the US. If all you drink is Bud and Bud Light, give some of these guys a try. You won't be disappointed.

InBev was already using Budwieser for distributing its European brews. Hoegardaan and a few others come to mind. Bud IMO was a very generic beer with nothing notable to it. Even the Michelob line was generic. All of the major American breweries sat on their laurels and produced nothing good in years. Yes, Coors and Miller, definately included. For me, Harpoon is my favorite. I don't even drink Sam Adams anymore. Almost all of their beer is outsourced to other breweries. Now, if only Yeungling was available in my area. That's a real family brewery.

Last time I Had a Bud or Coors or any was 20 years ago.

Micro Brew and Home Brew are the best beers.

I just finished bottling my 23 batch of 5 gallons of Irish Stout this year so far.

This month I'll start my 24 batch of Robust Porter.

Budweiser used the name of Budweis, a Czech city with an excellent and famous beer, to get a reputation. Karma brought Bud back to Europe...
