Does anyone know if there is anywhere I can find a freight train schedule for the BNSF? My 3 year old is wild about trains, but it is completely hit or miss if we ever see a freight train. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. We live in Willowbrook and often visit the Hinsdale railroad station. Thanks!

Freigh trains really don't run on schedules. It with them too is hit and miss when they are called out, then once aboard their train, they have to get their track warrant read to them and then they read this back, etc, etc, etc....
If you are at the tracks, look up and down the tracks and see what the signals are showing. If there are no lit signals, then "usually" no train is in the area, if the signal is yellow or green, you may be in luck if you have patiants...
If it's red, then still you might be in luck, but depending on where you are, the red signal may only mean nothing on CTC.
The signals look almost like traffic signal poles along the streets.

I'm in St Cloud MN and one freight train has kept us waiting for 45 minutes now to allow other freighters to pass on the other set of tracks. What BNSF doesn't understand is that due to construction, it has completely shut down the entire city. Hundreds of motorists are stranded along multiple crossings. What should be done is that they should time these crossings in the country where it effects fewer people. This is miserable.

I here you St Cloud. This railroad goes through the main highway that I have to cross to get to work. It doesn't matter if I'm early to work if the train is across the tracks I'm sunk. I have been late for work because these trains. It would be nice to have a schedule so a person could get there really early to avoid these occurrences. My place of work has no sympathy what so ever. Like I can fly over the train.

Is there any better way of knowing where it's going other than north or south bound

bro missoulu is really easy to get out of i think UP goes through there so just wait at the hop out and call in the unit number if you have a phone it will tell you where you are going. There is no set "schedule" that trains run by so just look for a siding or a 2 mile or if your feeling ballsy hop strait out of the yard.

I have an employee who rides a bike to work. They have to cross two separate intersections approx. 500 feet apart where there are train tracks. At least once a week,at approx. 10:20m pacific time, I receive a call that they will be late because of the train. How can I find out if a train is truly there. Sometimes I can here the wigwag dinging other times no.

If not a schedule of passing freight trains, can someone furnish information in gereral terms, in weekly terms, about the freight train cycle.
We have noticed that there is little rail traffic on some days, not a one for hours; on other days there is a train passing about every 20 minutes, or at least twice per hour.
What are the cycles of railroad freight dispatch.
Dispatch: the accent is ALWAYS on the second syllable.
Thank you.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Libra

You're in an idealistic mood today and only want to see the best in other people. This is typical Libran behaviour, because you aren't good at facing up to harsh reality at the best of times. Today, you're ready to believe that someone is a candidate for sainthood or that they're the best thing that's ever happened to you, regardless of whether it's true or not.
