Ferraro was right but no one would own up to the truth. He would not be the candidate today if he were not black (although research shows that he is 85% Arab). Its our PC culture that just won't let it go. The media is bending over backward to make it all happen. Can you believe that the media's darling, Hillary, all of a sudden, was sideswiped by all of the liberal media during the campaign??

If I were candidate Obama, I would not come to Virginia, either. Just like Pennsylvania, there are too many "bitter people clinging to their guns and religion" here. He might actually have to answer a tough question, rather than just deliver another pep rally speech. I think he is an ultra-liberal America hater who is just an empty suit once his canned speech is over.

Interesting comment. I think what you are really saying is "there are clueless idiots everywhere, including where I live." If you give him a tough question, I'm sure he'll give you an honest answer. Of course, the first trick is for you to actually open up your ears and hear what he has to say, and to open up your mind and actually listen to what your ears hear. Unfortunately, you're probably one of those people who just wait to see what you get spoon-fed by the propogandists, so you'll never know. What a sad way to go through life, being deaf, dumb, and blind.

Venom injected posts on Topix threads do not count as research dear.

<quoted text>The GOP calls every Democrat "the most liberal ever". They have used and abused this so much is ceases to have any meaning other than "oh, look... more GOP campaign blather, blah blah blah"
To say that McCain wouldn't be a continuation of Bush would mean that he would be somehow free of the same baggage from the GOP that Bush has, which is wrong. To say that McCain wouldn't be a continuation of Bush would mean that he would totally clean house, which we all know is never going to happen. There are too many GOP special interests far too entrenched in DC for that to ever happen. Until someone can clean house, which means a non-GOP president, we'll have somewhat of a continuation of the Bush administration. We need a clean, fresh start, or we'll be stuck with more of the same, and that "same" is killing us.
Obama's voting record is a matter of fact, not speculation. So what you are telling me is that you wnat to return to the days of Clinton-type foreign policy that treats terrorism as a minor blip on the radar, and uses our military to divert attention away from domestic scandal issues. Look at who Obama has on board already in his foreign policy team, Albright, et al, and you can count on more of the same. Obama has no experience- zip, in actually leading anything beyond a neighborhood watch program. You like projection? There's mine.

Likewise a bunch of businessmen practiced in the art of lining the pockets of elected officials at worst and circumventing the law at least, are NOT qualified to run this country.

So who do you vote for? I think I will err on the side of the guy who has at least studied the law and read the constitution.

You mean like how Bush used Iraq as a way to shift focus from the fact that we still hadn't gotten bin Laden, our Public Enemy #1? He used that "oh heck, they all look alike" logic and decided that the real threat to US security was Saddam Hussein, a two-bit tin horn dictator that we put into power who had the audacity to believe that he was actually someone who counted in the world and was dumb enough to open his mouth a bit too wide. Shock and awe. Mission accomplished. Give them the democracy that they're so starved for over there. And while all this foreign stuff was going on, we get Cheney's cronies cleaning out the Federal Treasury and laughing all the way to the bank. OK, sure, be like the shrub - everything is obviously Bill Clinton's fault. Sheesh!

So all Hillary supporters are issue-blind and party-dumb? I guess you could be right there, but if you look at the issues and their stands(currently) then McCain is the clear choice for a Hillary supporter. If you are ready to see what aa really radical-left president can do to this already shaky economy, go ahead and vote Obama. He'll really help your wallet at the gas pumps when he pushes his windfall profit tax, and up the ante on every single tax he can get his hand on.
As I remember the last ultra liberal, Bill Clinton left the white house with a half billion surplus, and wasn't it hillary who mentioned and championed the windfall profit tax?

Seems that Obama is also on to something via, willingness to talk with non democratic nations to find something mutual to open discussion.

Given our old allies in the EU are seeming going their own way and not allowing the U.S to lead them by the nose anymore.

The European Union on Thursday agreed to lift its diplomatic sanctions against Cuba, but imposed tough conditions on the communist island to maintain sanction-free relations.

Given these current events, this will continue to weaken the U.S position around the world.

Also, what ever happen to the Coalition of the Willing that helped invade Iraq, don't think Bush lack of accurate intelligence cracked our relationships with Coalition members do you? Think that may be why the EU members are more likely thinking for themselves these days and determining what relationships with nations is good for them?

This has been a horrible administration for strengthening out world relationships.

According to you Obama is thinking…
“I hate America, so I’m running for president!”
That makes about as much sense as buying a van Gogh painting to use as toilet paper because you think Dutch Post-Impressionist art is crap.
