Where will the coal miners work?

Where will we get the natural gas? The tree huggers won't let us drill for it.

There are whole towns at risk because of this.
Ever think it might just be the spew belched out of your automobile that is causing pollution, not a handful of coal-fired power plants? Why is it the western slope is always affected by what the eastern side wants, or needs, what are we, chopped liver? Get a grip people, just because the majority of the states population chooses to live on the eastern side of the hill does not give them the right to lead our lives over here, you don't live here. I know, majority rules...we lose EVERY TIME!!!

Entire local economies could be affected and possibly collapse, right in the midst of an economical crisis that is countrywide.
Smart decision. Not.

It is disgusting that our legislature has given petty power hungry bureaucrats the power to shaft us like this.

Yeah, "shaft us", pun intended.
I know of an area in NW Colorado that is dependent on three coal mines and two power plants. This whole corner, hunting paradise...beautiful mountains and world class skiing, have the potential to become a figment of reality. If these three mines shut down because of "clean energy...BS", there will be roughly 1000 jobs lost, 1000 families affected, which is a large chunk of the population, and tax base, in the area. Without coal, the power plants shut down as well which is another 600 jobs or so. All total, 5-6000 people will be affected by this ridiculous idea of clearing the air over the national parks...who gives a f____!!!
I visit this area frequently and it would be a shame to see it all disappear, but hey, it's only people right? Those on the front range are WAY more important than them....right?
I hope those doing this sleep well at night knowing their plan is going to ruin a lot of lives, except their own.
Merry Christmas, it may be the last good one these people will ever have.

There was a notice in my Exel Energy bill today that said they are asking for a rate increase due to the cost of natural gas. They want to convert 6 plants to natural gas why? We can't afford it now and the price is going up. How stupid is that?

Here is a thought. If you think this is a good idea, you be the first to disconnect your house from the electric grid.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Leo

You're in a very idealistic mood today, making it almost impossible for you to view loved ones in their true colors. If they've got any faults you won't see them because you'll have blanked them out. This rosy vision of your nearest and dearest is fine if it doesn't last long but it will cause problems if it persists and you continue to brush any problems under the carpet.
