Problem is most Los Angeles residents don't really want to work and have jobs...they want handouts and entitlements from the government.

So, lets see, I bet other cities will do the same
thing to "compete".

The effect, we "swap" businesses and two companies
move w/o paying taxes. If they do it right, they
may just have to do a paperwork version and not even
have to physically move their stuff.

Gee, took me 15 seconds to guess this will happen,
and I'm not even the guy who will do it.

3 years here and leave. Like transferring credit cards for the 0% interest rate until it expires and getting a new 0% card.
I do a little freelance graphics work on the side, never anything big, mainly for friends and not for much. Just a little fun money. But the POS city found out and went back 10 years and fined me over $1400 and made me get a business license. Total extortion, didn't get anything in return except threats to pay it. Worst city gov ever.

There is an exemption to that tax that says you have to NET over $100,000. If you only did a "little work" on the side, appeal it until you get it dismissed. I have a few friends that got caught up in that money grab...but it requires some diligence.

You got a problem with that?
Can you please tell me WHERE the residents would turn down a handout?
Ft. Wayne ever have a disastrous flood (like in 1982 when the City took $56 million in Fed funds from Ronnie Ray Gun?)or a tornado or any sort of economic downturn?

A 3 year exemption from L.A. business taxes... you KNOW that Mayor Tony and the City Council are getting desperate ! Of course the number of businesses that have been run out of town by Mayor Tony and the City Council due to onerous taxes and regulations is not so well publicized; Mayor Tony would prefer you not bring that subject up.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Virgo

You're feeling restless and need to introduce as much variety into your day as possible. However, you'll want this to be on your own terms, and you certainly won't like it if plans are changed without your consent or you feel you've lost control of the situation. Try to take everything in your stride, otherwise you'll end up feeling exhausted and frazzled.
