This sounds like an oversight group; FAA, and a customer; Boeing, experienced/identified a problem and as such are attempting to punish a vendor AFTER the fact was discovered. So "changing the procedure/process" after problems have been attributed to a manufacturing process seems like more a typical "knee-jerk" reaction.

Not taking into account that the manufacturing paint step was "ok earlier" BUT now is a potential cause of equipment failure. MAYBE, the whole story should be reported by the Trib as well. Not a detail buried towards the bottom ofthe article!

WAY to go "ace cub reporter"!

Knowing personal experience with AAR, Is that many of their quality department as well as their DOM. Have no idea what a manufactured part, PMA part, or owner produced parts are or the difference between them. It is amazing that they have even continued operations based on the experience of maintenance personnel. It is a matter of time before we all see on the news about one of their helicopters crashing in Afghanistan killing American Gi's. They have had many of an incident with gun fire as well as mechanical failure do to their oversight. Maintenance personnel leaving the company by the hundreds do to not being paid and dealing with the bureaucracy. if you are thinking about a career with this company, do not even think about it. Many other operators out there that do better.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
