Wow, isn't it wonderful that the only way the public finds out what our "elected representatives" have passed into law is to read the new law.

If we were "governed" by a king or a "council of Dukes" I guess it would work the same way, instead of publicity BEFORE the legislation is passed, we would have, what we have now, PUBLICITY AFTER the legislation was passed.

Of course, we could ask to read the bills: NOT. We could ask for a list of the pending bills,(But it would be late and inaccurate).

When did we give up our rights and our freedoms to a bunch of "selected not elected" jerks?

All for profit credit card comapnies now follow the "trick and trap" business model, the new laws only stop day to day changes by requiring notices, and a few of the most aggregious "fees".

One serious word of advice: join a credit union, organize your workplace to join one if one is not already available (it usually costs $0). This angeleno still uses his "backeast" credit union who has provided single digit interest rate credit cards for over 20 years, and pays better returns than banks on savings. And I've been paid dividends!!!!- your savings account gives you shares in the co-op: you OWN THE BANK, instead of it owning you.

A Credit Union is not a BANK.

I have two prepaid cards, both have my name engraved on them, Green Dot and Netspend. I love already having paid for anything I purchase, such as an airline ticket. At least I can sleep at night! Instead of paying high interest rates, I make deposits onto my cards. I avoid using debit cards a lot because then you risk having your checking account drained of all cash until the bank decides the fraud was legitimate. And who wants to be out of all your cash for two weeks?

Fair enough, Record, YOU own the cooperative as a credit union member, a non-profit institution that can serve your needs the same as a bank, but without paying for obscene executive pay packages and private jet junkets to overpriced resorts. Instead, you get a CHECK from this institution, as a shareholder, some years instead of usurious fees and penalties. I stand corrected.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Taurus

Social situations bring out the best in you right now, especially if they encourage you to be a free spirit and you don't have to worry about being on your best behavior all the time. In fact, you'll welcome the chance to kick over the traces in some way or remind certain people that you're a much more complex personality than they sometimes give you credit for.
