Hey Frank, when you get tired of talking to yourself, have a nice life. The rest of us will be just fine, hopefully with a much smaller need to be better than anyone else. And a lot higher principles, with much more regard for our fellow man.Hope you've found your golden egg; try not to break it. bye for good............

Maybe some people can make better decisions than others, you got what you paid for...live wuth it. I didn't make you go on strike that was your decision. I live my decisions good and bad and I don't blame others, you should learn to do the same. Good luck.

You know, I wanted to get on this site to see what all is going on with the American Axle news. I am really sorry I did. It's pretty bad that all people have time to do is to write nasty comments back and forth to each other. I just wonder if you didn't have a computer to hide behind if you would still be saying this stuff. We teach our children if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. What a bunch of hipocrates, huh? There are people out there losing there jobs, having their homes forclosed on, and do not even have the money to feed their children. If everyone put as much energy in helping those people as they do with being nasty to each other, think of the possibilities.

What I don't understand is the statement by the Auto Companies "We have keep the wages globally competative". In other words, they want us to live in shanty towns, scrounge food from dumps and drink sewage. This is competative? I think not!!

Unions don't work because they provide unnecessary jobs to people who don't have applicable skills to survive in today's workplace. CEOs get paid much larger sums because they have experience, went to university for a significant amount of time, and have skills that are in demand. Also, there are too many levels of management. We need 7 workers and one manager instead of 7 managers and one worker.

Hey, you guys, go ahead and strike. Don't ever go back to work. There are people out of work that sure could use your jobs. Unions served a purpose in the beginning. Now, the Unions do nothing but harm. They cause higher prices, and eventually, whatever it is that they do, people can no longer afford. The UMWA shut down most of their coal mines. The UAW are laying off. US products are priced too high. So why would we want to buy them just so greedy union workers can get their raises? Your entitlement attitude is ruining America. Thanks for nothing.

All the union people are now posting their tears...what happened to the "we'll show them" and "we really hurt the economy by our strike".
Neither happened and everyone's back to work. Only the UAW strikers took a hit....be careful what you ask for....you got it. As for the people losing their homes and not putting food on the table....the parents should finally learn what the union gets you. I'm sure the union president is eating well in his $250,000 home and the union dues keep rolling in...it's always been that way....do you get it yet? If not your doomed to repeat it.

Do you really think that dropping wages and benefits by half, that the products will drop in price? You must be dreaming. It will all go to company profit.

A word of wisdom:

"Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work." Thomas Edison

To reach your dreams and goals takes a lot of hard work, whether it is work in the books, or work in the overalls. People have different earning potentials. Some endeavors are fruitful and some are failures. The words, "Created Equal" doesn't mean we all have the RIGHT to make the same amount of money, have the same size homes, or drive the same kind of cars.

In the early days of labor unions their fight for workers rights was noble and necessary. They helped our government see the need for labor laws. We now have laws to protect children from abuse and slavery in the workplace. We have laws requiring work breaks. There is a minimum wage. There are many laws to protect workers. There is no longer a need for the union. What keeps the union fire fueled is "greed and laziness".

It is a persons "choice" which group he will be in. There is the unemployed, self employed, the employer and the employee.

Some choose to be unemployed. There is growing number in our society that are living out their lives with their hands out, playing the system, sucking all the dollars they can out of the government. They are uneducated and their children are uneducated and all they know is the welfare system. They don't want to work, or they will lose their check. They thrive on being "victims". Some end up involved in crime as their greed outgrows what is coming in from the government.

There is no excuse to be unemployed. Just because someone expects a certain wage or certain job doesn't mean the person deserves it or that the job is available. Pride often keeps an individual unemployed. There are jobs. Okay, so the person was an executive, and he was laid off? If his job search fails, then, as Thomas Edison would say, "Put on the overalls". Toss pride aside and "work". There are burgers to be made, toilets to be cleaned, and fields to be worked.

Don't want to work the fields? Okay, be self employed.....lots of opportunities out there.

Now there are some individuals that are natural born leaders. Some have the ability and means to own and manage their own company, or be in leadership for a corporation. Usually, these people earn a better than average living, but they carry a larger tax burden.

The rest of are called "employees". Employees or potential employees have different talents, different interests, different personalities, different IQ's, and different "looks" (yes, I said "looks"...more about that, later). As an employee, you have certain rights as defined by law. Beyond that, it is a free market. When a person finds just the right job, he meets with the employer, and they check each other out. The employee is interested in the wage, the job description, benefits, etc. The employer wants to make sure the potential employee is qualified, hard worker and has a good work ethic. Once the employee agrees to accept what the employer offers, the working relationship begins. Unless there is a contract, the employee can go elsewhere if the job doesn't work out, and, likewise, the employer can let the employee go if he doesn't work out.

All of this said, we are a free society. We all have the freedom and potential to be whatever we want to be, but we are owed NOTHING. If an employee doesn't like his job he can leave. It can be a tough world. But, don't give up. Put on your overalls and go to work.

Continued from above.....The rest of are called "employees". Employees or potential employees have different talents, different interests, different personalities, different IQ's, and different "looks" (yes, I said "looks"...more about that, later)......

One more thing, looks ARE important. I don't mean you have to be a beautiful person. But, you must be well groomed and no absurd bone in nose or dilaters in your earlobes, bulldog collars around your neck, heavy chains/baggy pants, multiple body piercings and tattoos. Yep, you have a right to look anyway you want to look, but an employer also has the right to not hire you. If an employer expects his women employees to look a certain way, that is his right. If you don't agree, don't work there. If you are working at a cosmetic counter, you should wear nice makeup, have fashionable clothes, and a nice haircut. You are going to be limited in finding a job if you are morbidly obese. That is not job discrimination. It is common sense. Why would an employer want a 500 lbs. slob working for him? That person is going to be a liability. The companies health insurance will go up, because a 500 lb. person is going to have a lot of health problems. A 500 lb. person will have trouble carrying his share of the "workload" because he is already carrying around about 350 lbs. of excess adipose tissue. Don't say this is not fair. It is fair. I would not hire a 150 lb. man for my company if he insisted on carrying a 350 lb. box all day. I would know he couldn't carry that box, and do his job. Also, a smoker is going to have a harder time finding a job. An employer knows you are going to have health problems, you stink, you cough a lot, and you will probably cheat on your "breaks". Gotta have that cigarette.

Did your UNION bosses only get a strike pay of $200 a week also, I bet not! Will their wages be lowered to your new wage scale? I bet not!
Yeah but I bet the bosses have 10 times the responsibility, and likely went to school to better themselves.
And you likely think doing repetitive monkey work somehow deserves 25 bucks an hour? 12 dollars an hour is sufficient for the type of BS work most union workers do.
Of course there are exceptions to this rule, but not many.

Jeez americans wake up. Call you senators and simply leave them a message.

This welfare bailout is just a scam and is probably illegal. THINK ABOUT IT!

So the Fed Res can hand out trillions with no congressional oversight and ZERO regulations or guarantees and not 25 billion to the big 3?

The banking ceos already have $70 billion built in just for bonuses and we are making the common the common blue collar worker jump through hoops for $25 billion.

Get off your lazy butts and do something - make a phone call at least.

These bastard republicans have handed out $8 trillion that no one talks about.

And yet all we hear about is this bs $25 billion.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
