The CEO, is an exceptional business man, a bit arrogant, however, if you look at the complete history of this company and others he has been involved with and what he has done, its difficult to condemn comments like "I was born and breed to a leader", and as he does take large profit shares, well in excess of 3-5 times his CEO salary, he took a large risk when he went all into AAM when it was first purchased from GM.

As for the company, I believe, unfortunately, wanting to maintain a corporate image of "We are here for the people and American Business" is just that, image. All the associates that work for the company, hourly and salary included know, its a function of economics. If its cheaper over there, they will go. The company does not care about the associates, the associates do not care about the company, except for what they get from each other and where they can take advantage of each other they will. Not that I see any other public companies that are any different. I my view the private companies work much better with the associate and vise versa. So AAM gets an average from me on how it takes care of associates. The Union is in trouble until they change their methods of election. Its worse than a high school Prom queen election. The will come around sooner or later. Probably, when the rest of the world, has already caught, with out wage structure, or when ours has degraded to theirs.

Dick Dauch is a greedy man! His sons are just the same! I remember when Rick Dauch complained to the workforce that he was a ranger in the army and he married a women with 3 kids and had some more with her and his insurance was around 500 a month! Wait a minute this is coming from a gold spoon feed spoiled brat that makes 300.000 a year on top of all the extra money daddy worbucks throws his way! Dick Dauch is a real work of art! Its a shame his greed has gotten the best of him! Its a shame that a profitable company has to move to Mexico, so that dick can pocket more money, because the billions in America just isn't enough! Shame, Shame Dick!

Butt kissers call him muscle bound! I don't think so! He is an out of shape bully! Even in his hey day he wasn't muscle bound! Please view his purdue picture link below! He was an average built young man, far from muscle bound! But these pictures do show his that he was a person that thinks of himself! The typical AAM worker looked up to him! He talked a bunch of B.S. at town hall meetings, I told people he was a dirt bag! 10 yrs down the road when he went public with AAM with Blackstone, thats when the greed started to come out, because now the AAM worker had to greedy sources to contend with, not to mention that his sons wanted a piece on the million dollar pie! There was no reason for Dick to take his company to Mexico and to little sweat shops in Indiana and Michigan!Everything is a show for this demon! Its amazing how people kiss people butts if they have money! Even if they know he's a dirt bag! I would hate to have Dicks life after the AAM strike in 2008! No excuse, butt greed!http://e-archives.lib.pu rdue.edu/cdm4/item_viewer.php? CISOROOT=/puath&CISOPTR=11 24&CISOBOX=1&REC=5

I met Mr Dauch several times, he's a show boat its all image in public but behind closed doors it's another story completely. In the beginning when AAM was emerging as global competition the pep talks we would get would inspire even the laziest worker, as things started to change we would usually get talked down to, it was always our fault for not getting out production or a number of excuses the supervisors would provide just to keep their ass out of the fire for that day. Mr Dauch would tell us "we are the company's greatest aset and continue to blab about how much money he had already invested in us, but alot of the failings in the company had to do with the aweful supervision and some but not all of the leadership their were some really great supervisors there in the beginning but they were weeded out cause they didnt share his vision im assuming. The production people would report of problems they had with machinery and product that was not of good quality and would be told to put it back in production and to never mind those things ,we had a real problem with that in the beginning because we cared and knew it was defective but it was not our call,we had to bite out tongue or risk the backlash that would surely come, well to no suprize pr&r's would show up at the back door and whos fault would it be ? of course the worker. all because the supervisors and leadership (some) didnt have any balls to stand up and say hey this is our jobs we cant send that out of here. They didnt want their ass's handed to them at the meetings at the end of the day so it was easier to throw the workers to the wolves. Well i feel they contributed to the demise of the company by not standing up and doing whats right in the end . As for the union that would be a whole different post and im running out of room.

Most of the workers feelings of the union was on the verge of hatred, during the strike they were pitiful lacking any real organization as if they really didn't care the only time some of them even showed up would be on pay day sort of like when they were working or called it work. When in the plant their would be alot of back room dealing between supervisors and union officals sort of you scratch mine and ill do you next time around kinda thing, some union officals would go to the docks and have smoke breaks with plant managers and plot their next dealings with some unlucky person. But after the strike you could tell there was really a shift in the union they seemed to be non existant always claiming to be busy hard at work helping someone out of a jam lol it was really to let the workers get shit on by management they were working hand and hand with them, no one could convince me other wise, we were told to except the contract because we wouldnt get a better one to take wage cuts and other consessions and that this was the way to go even if we made a little less money we would still have a job, haha well we all know how well their plan worked out, the union was good at keeping peoples jobs that should have been let go probably years ago. Most of management hated the union for various reasons but tolerated them because of the scratch my back thing so they were a necessary evil for them, in my view if we could have trusted the management not to be evil back stabbing trolls that they were, just to save their own ass's they could have disposed of the need for a union all together and removed the need to use the union as another excuse for plant closings ,poor production, or a host of other things they blamed on union plants across the United States.

AAM it´s a very good company, I can tell you is one of the best in the world. Unfortunately the plants of US was not very good in shape, money, form, organization, facilities etc. I was working for AAM in Mexico and the Mexico facility is brand new well keep maintained, I was a couple of times in Detroit plant and it was very dark building, dirty, and the major example of bad thing that i have from there it was the teach pendants of the welding robots in the floor, and nobody cares, that is not acceptable. I people take cares of his job certainly the company will be better. any way we will see what happens in the future. Remember cost of manufacturing hand job is expensive in US.

And about Dick; read his book; "Passion for manufacturing" If you don´t have passion will be difficult you achieve your goals, for me he is a really leader. I met he personally, his eyes reflect the leadership inside.

March 2012 the uaw contract at Ameican plants will expire. Dicky will again threaten the membership with even lower wages and benefits, they will have to accept his terms if not he will close the plant down for a very short time, then rehire uneducated people that will work for nothing just like the Mexican work force. The Mexican workforce wont be able to compete against this new low wage. The Mexican facilities will lose work like the camaro axle to name a few. Both workforces will pit against each other for work. This will make Dicky very happy. The people like Reggie that stayed on and didn't accept the buyout with the education and unemployment, insurance package that the state of Michigan and New York sued AAM for breach of contract because of Dicks greed for cheaper labor are very stupid to think things would change for the good then blame his fellow brothers and sisters for the rough road he has endured. For Jonahan I hope your stupidity does not get the best of you for thinking that Dick truly cares for you, just sit back and see what happens to you about a year after March 2012.Jonathan and Reggie cannot afford even a used car, this is truley very sad.My advice to both of you dummys is to get all the work force to work together, everyone needs to walk out at all the plants and stop production and demand fair wages and bennys for all Mexican and American. But this wont happen because both workforces are truley in denial expecially Jonathan. I truley hope all of you can grow up and fight for each others future because the path that both of you are on is a dead end road, Mcdonalds is always hiring.

I work at the Oxford plant, Dick Dauch really is a two faced piece of crap! He thinks people can live on poverty wages while he makes millions of the backs of his workers! He has torn apart past families that built the company and made him rich beyond words can descibe! He has brought machines from the Detroit plants to our little sweat shops for even more profits! I agree with past comments that Dick is a jerk and he will get his in the end he is an old man that don't have much more time on this planet and he will rot in Hell for it! I will not pray for Dick!

Contract extension Big Dick gave to DMC was intended to be turned down. More cuts even though we made him money last year. Plant closinf=g decision was to be made last Friday. Haven't heard anything. Big Dick is going against his own beliefs by "eating his seed corn" because we were the ones he started the company with. Now he is in the process of finishing us off. Him and is entire family can rot. Just call him Mr Entitled,Sr. and his boy is Mr. Entitled,Jr.

No, I can't not afford a truck neither a used car. For now my economy is not very good for that. Unfortunately Mexico is one of the countries with the biggest difference in the people, here we have carlos slim, telmex guy richest in the world and we have very poor people, the money repartition in Mexico is very bad, you can read this in wikipedia too.
But well talking about dick dauch, what are you waiting for to express your felling? you dont wait until he close the last plant. correct?

The best think Jonathan can do is get an education. Why would you work for a company that doesn't pay you enough to afford a used car! This don't make any sense! I agree with a posting from above, You all need to stick together and all walk out at all the plants to make Dicky fell the wrath of the working man! Until then he will continue to spit in all your faces!

Almost pathetic how you all obsess over Richard E. Dauch, and stupid posting harsh comments if you still work from AAM. None of you have any actual idea what kind of man he is. Nor would you ever in your life compare to him. You sit an complain most likely because you are part of the union.(lazy human beings who lack education, actual work ethic, who want to sit on their butts all day and get paid ridiculous amounts to do nothing). There will be a day that the detroits plants come back and many people will happily have a job and all the old union workers will be looking all over their homes for coins to pay for food. At the end of the day the union gets what it deserves, no jobs!. Quit trying to blame a man who paid your bills, for your kids diapers, the food on you table, dealt with the union for as long as he did. Union is a bunch of lazy losers. and the person who googled a picture of Dick is creepily obsessive. You all can talk when your work i.d says CEO before your name.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Libra

It's one of those difficult days when anything can and will happen. Someone you were relying on might let you down, plans could be changed at the eleventh hour or a machine could go on the blink. To make matters worse, your energy levels are very erratic, so you feel full of beans one minute and ready to go to sleep the next. Don't make the situation worse by eating foods that give you a high followed by a slump.
