Everyone needs to start calling in to work, taking Mondays OFF. SOLODARITY PEOPLE, SPREAD THE WORD. sICK DAY, VACATION DAY, WHATEVER THE EXCUSE.IF WE COLLECTIVELY SHUT DOWN AMERICAN BUSINESS ON MONDAYS, WE CAN CHANGE THINGS. BUSINESS WILL START CALLING CONGRESSMEN, SENATORS AND OTHERS.
AVOID THE FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS, IF WE HURT THEM, WE WILL ALSO MAKE A POINT.
HASNT ALL THIS CRAP BEEN OVER THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR?
HIT EVERY BUSINESS IN THE WALLET...DAY AFTER DAY, WEEK AFTER WEEK....WE WILL WIN....YOU'LL SEE....SPREAD THE WORD FELLOW AMERICANS....SPREAD THE WORD
THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE AMERCICAN MIDDLE CLASS TO REVOLT.....
STAND UP AND BE HEARD
STAND UP AND BE COUNTED
THE AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS IS OVER 200 MILLION STRONG
THAT BEATS THE CRAP OUT OF ANY UNION
NO WORKING ON MONDAYS...WE WILL REDUCE GAS CONSUMPTION EXPONENTIALLY
NO FAST FOOD BUYING......McDs, BK, KFC, WENDYS, ARBYS, SONIC AND THE REST WILL RISE UP IN ANGER
DONT BUY COFFEE AND A ROLL IN THE MORNING, PASS THE CONVIENIENCE STORE UP
CUT ALL EBERGY CONSUMPTION AT ALL COST...THE UTILITIES WILL UNRAVEL
THE ONLY VOICE, STRENGTH WE MIDDLE CLASS HAVE IS TO SHUT DOWN OIL DEMAND, STOP SPENDING, STOP WORKING ONE DAY A WEEK
UNITE, JUST DO IT
200 MILLION PEOPLE NOT SPENDING $25 BUCKS A WEEK IS $5,000,000,000, 5 BILLION DOLLARS A WEEK MY FRIENDS
65 BILLION DOLLARS IN A FISCAL QUARTER
200 MILLION SAVING 25 GALLONS OF GAS PER WEEK IS
5,000,000,000 GALLONS OF GAS
65 BILLION GALLONS OF GAS IN A FISCAL QUARTER
LET THE SAUDIS FIND ANOTHER CUSTOMER
TELL THEM WE ARE NO LONGER GOING TO TAKE THE SHAFT FROM THEM. WHO ARE THEY TO US ANYWAY? OUR SENATE AND CONGRESS BLOCKED A BILL TO SELL THE SAUDIS 1.4 BILLOIN IN ARMS. THEY BLOCK ANY AND ALL FUTURE SALES. LET THEM START THEIR OWN WEAPONS FACTORIES.
WE NEED TO STAND UNITED AGAINST THE WORLD AND TELL THEM ALL "WE ARE MAD AS HELL, AND WE'RE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE"
I MAY SOUND NUTS, BUT BROTHERS AND SISTERS WE ARE MORE POWERFUL THAN ALL THE ARMED FORCES IN THE WORLD.
WE CHOOSE IF, WHEN, AND HOW MUCH MONEY WE WILL SPEND, AND WHAT WE SPEND IT ON.
THINGS IN THE USA DIDNT CHANGE OR FALL APART OVERNIGHT, AND WE WILL NOT CHANGE IT OVERNIGHT, BUT WE WILL OVER TIME.
GOD BLESS THE AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS
Nice post but it is not going to happen. Nobody fights for anything anymore. Everyone sits backs and complains but are afraid or to lazy to speak up. People not showing up to work is not going to happen either. Most companies are just going to fire you if that happens and at any rate people cannot afford to take a day off from work. The best way to fight this is boycott and stay home and drive less. As far as the government, aperantly since thier was no help with the Saudis pumping more oil, just lead to higher oil prices for the fear that they would not pump more oil.

I can't decide who is the greater nut case; Built Ford Tough, or Real World!
Both scenarios are remindful of what the Nazis advocated in the 1930's.
Just what we need--more anarchy in the world!!

Please stay out of the Auto topics, you have no buisness being here, since Canada does not make a car. You opinions are meaningless

To "Built Ford Tough", aka "Ford", aka a dozen or so other usernames:
Check again friend--you'll find that all the major automakers have a big presence in Canada. Not only that, but Canadian auto plants are generally considered by critics to have better quality and are more efficient that their US counterparts!(But your lack of such knowledge isn't unexpected, considering how little you actually contribute to these Auto discussions)
Also, my opinions must have some value because you chose to diss them in the past, so I'll just stick around, thanks.

I believe he might be talking about the fact that Canada (as a country) doesn’t have it own auto manufacturing company. When Americans were inventing vehicles, the Canadians were perfecting maple syrup. Its history, nothing wrong with that. Also, I like many places in Canada, it’s a very nice country with the exception of Oakville.

Folks we're all to blame here. How many years have we ignored the warnings that this party can't go on forever, gasoline won't always be cheap and plentiful and we won't always be able to drive gas guzzling smog monsters? Well guess what, the party's over and it's coming time to pay the fiddler? Our leadership in Washington has failed to take the lead in establishing efficient mass transportations systems instead forcing us all by default to rely upon the automobile for personal transportation. That was great while gas was cheap and affordable but what happens now with $4 a gallon gas the new reality and no end in sight? Urban blight led to suburban flight and now most of us live far away from where we work. Without the automobile we are royally screwed because in most cases there's no other way you can there from here. We are far behind Europe in having successful, efficient mass transportation systems that people will actually use. Folks America needs a wake up call!

Thanks for trying to spread oil on the waters, but nothing will ever excuse rude and ignorant comments from anyone.
Truth be told, that character has no idea what he's talking about anyway.

Wow, I love how we can throw around “judged” comments, especially from those opinionated folks that haven’t a clue about the industry.

I don't know which of us your comment was directed to, but I'll stand by my opinions about that individual from cape may courthouse who consistently posts really rude.
Based on his "offerings" to these forums, it's a completely accurate judgement--by any stretch of the imagination.
That said, I agree with your feelings about Oakville. The GTA isn't the greatest advert for Canada.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
