Thanks! You greedy union @#$#rd's have cost the factory where I work, millions of dollars in sales and forced us to lay off people! Great thing to do during the current economic state! I truely believe this strike was nothing more than a political ploy to turn the already slumping economy in to an even worse downward spiral. Then, blame the Republicans for it and use it for political gain to help get a Dem elected as President. I see it! The writing's on the wall.

$32 an hour for factory labor and they think it's appropriate??? Thats more than most skilled, educated people get for a salaried position that doesn't offer overtime. These greedy scum at the unions need to all be eliminated from the state. There is absolutely no value - NONE - for unions. They drive corporations to fire hard-working non-union employees, to leave Michigan, or to go bankrupt. Their greed cost GM $800 million in sales, which is at least $48 million in takes (you know - the budget shortfall for this year). I wish they would have just shut the doors in MI and left. You don't deserve jobs - you are greedy, whining, little brats.$20 an hour for what you do is a very high and fair wage. What you thing you deserve is so far out of touch with reality that you don't even have a clue - it's no wonder you scum support Hillary.

You moron, those workers were the victims of corporate greed. They didn't cost you or anyone else a thing. It was American Axle that chose to be greedy.

It's just toooooo damn bad they didn't just turn the tables and do a lockout and hire new employee's who would have been THRILLED to obtain fulltime employment with decent wages.
It's no wonder a lot of companies are moving production out of the country, mainly to escape those ULTRA greedy unions who CONSTANLY throw a hissy fit and strike when they don't get their way.
There is NO WAY people working on production lines, especially automated production lines should be making (yes making, NOT earning) more than $20.00 an hour. New employee's should be starting at a lower wage of $17.00 then working their way up via pay increases based on individual performance.
The "fat cats" (mgmt) also needs to have their bloated salaries and bonuses slashed, it's no wonder vehicles are so damn expensive, it's all of the bloated/greedy hourly workers pay and mgmt.
Youre just wrong. Those jobs are worth over $20 an hour. Big business just wants you to believe they are worth less. And as long as you believe that, that's what you'll get.

Ignore the idiot union bashers. They are jealous. Next the unions will be blamed for the bad economy.

Real simple: Keep voting Republican and you'll continue to get a $hl++ty economy. If you voted Republican and you're unemployed, I have no sympathy for you. You did it to yourself.

HEY TAMMY
TAKE YOUR SKIRT OFF AND PUT SOME WORK BOOTS ON! GO INTO A FACTORY SWEAT YOUR PRETTY LIL BUTT OFF DAY IN AND DAY OUT. GO HOME WITH SORE ARMS AND FEET AND TRY TO PICK UP YOUR CHILDREN AND PLAY WITH THEM AND SEE HOW YOU FEEL! DONT PUT A DOLLAR AMOUNT ON MY JOB TILL YOU HAVE DONE IT YOURSELF! WHY DO THEY HAVE TO CUT THE WAGES OF THE WORKERS. 20 DOLLARS AN HOUR WAS GREAT WHEN GAS WAS .99 A GALLON AND TAXES WERE ALOT LESS, GROCERIES, UTILITIES ETC. SO IF YOU CAN SHOW ME A WAY TO BALANCE MY CHECK BOOK TO MEET THE RAPID INCREASES IN MY MONTHLY BILL AND STILL MAKE 20 DOLLARS AN HOUR I WOULD GLADLY TAKE A PAY CUT! OR MAYBE YOU CAN GET YOUR PRESIDENTAL CANDIDATE TO ROLL BACK PRICES AND TAXES 15 YEARS PLEASE.

Unions are also to blame for high oil prices, expensive medical care, the war in Iraq and the sub-prime mortgage crisis. Little did I know that a group of organizations like the unions here in the US could have so much power that they can wreak such havoc on our way of life. Ridiculous? Yes, and so is a lot of the other drivel that you read from these anti-union bloggers. IF YOU DON'T STAND FOR SOMETHING, YOU'LL FALL FOR ANYTHING!

That's where you are wrong. The last legal bill I got was for $175.00 per hour, if they didn't have to do any research, and the last accountants bill I got was for $100.00 per hour for a CPA. And both of those were below the going rate(s).

If I may add, why is it that attorneys and doctors are the only professions that when they make a mistake you have to pay again to correct the error(s). Oh ya, because those are the two areas where results are just too variable to be able to guarantee the results.

And as far as the medical field, the AMA only allows x number of medical students into college per year. Could that possibly be a contrivance to affect the supply and demand quotient? Hum, I wonder.

Okay Lisa, so it's the "free" market system you are really angry at isn't it. If you refuse to or can't afford any product because you aren't making enough, or any other reason you have for not purchasing it, aren't you contributing to putting other people out of work? Should they be able to bad mouth you because you are too cheap to buy that product? And who's fault is it that you aren't making enough money? Is it their's?

Come on now; "I truely believe this strike was nothing more than a political ploy to turn the already slumping economy in to an even worse downward spiral.",
that is just absurd. You make it sound like these workers are Republicans trying to get wages reduced to increase corporate profit.
